Something about backup generators
So, can someone tell me how exactly the backup generator, without a failsave mechanism cause god electrical 6 takes a lifetime, is supposed to work?

First I thought the failsave might only be to make the generator work when power just cuts out completely - cause otherwise there would be no impulse left to start it - with under normal circumstance the generator just kicking it when the batteries are actively draining. Just to wake up to my generator untouched and freezer defrosted.

Then I thought "Ok, maybe the failsave is needed to automatically start the generator after all, I just leave it running" thinking the generator would idle at 0% usage unless the the solar panels cannot keep up with the load anymore. But instead, the generator took over the full load while the battery bank sat there now charging with 0 output and full solar panel input.

So, uh... what's the point now? Do I really find 10 more batteries (or reach electrical 6) to even consider using solar power? Am I better off just running the generator like normal?
