Europa Universalis IV

Europa Universalis IV

SuperStates Mod
Government Type.
Alright I was playing as Ohio and it went from the default Republic government to Monarchy after quite a few years into the game, can someone tell me why, was it because my Republic tradition was so low for so long? Also is this mod updated for the latest game version, should I wait or will it be playable as is? Thx

If you keep re-electing a governor, your tradition will decrease and you'll eventually become a "Republican Dictatorship," and when that Dictator dies your nation becomes a monarchy. To be safe from this, stop re-electing leaders around 60 tradition.

Yeah, the repblic governments all use the default mechanics from the vanilla game. Republican tradition is very important to keeping your form of government, which in this mod is technically overpowered as the ruler stats are not fixed.
