How much is too much psycic sensitivity?
It seems to me if I go to high than any drone or other negative effect that scales with it will massively hurt me. Do you just try to get your psycasters up as much as it goes or do you limit yourself?

I personally thought about drones when I started, but if you get an empath you can overwrite psychic drones with soothes.

Are there situations, where you become more vunurable to other psycasters due to your sensitivity?

AFAIK all abilities are careful to scale off of the CASTERS sensitivity, but if there's an exception, it would be for debuffs... and debuffs are nasty enough to shut down non-sensitive pawns, making the difference between non-sensitives and sensitives equally vulnerable for all practical purposes.

Plus, you can't tell what abilities an enemy has by looking at them, since they can branch into other trees.

Through other mods traits a pawn reached such a high level of senitivity that EMP wave from Thunderbolt is larger than it cast range. Meaning the pawn will always get caught within its blast radius and get knocked out.

How much sensiitivity was that?

Since I modded the range of Thunderbolt since than and forgot the original range (between 20 and 25) I can't test exactly, but with 300% sensitivity you get about 20 tiles of emp blast.
The radius is shown before the cast. The psycast window shows the total sensitivity, not just the one added by upgrades btw so no need to check what traits/items give as bonus.
You can easily test it yourself enabling dev mode in the psycast tab and upgrade the stats without points.
Also I just noticed the very obvious reason why the pawn gets knocked out when hit by emp blasts: He got an Circadian Half-Cycler (core implant) in his brain that seems to be affected and cause a brief debuff called Brain Shock. Thought it was because of his high sensitivity. No idea if other implants get short circuited too.

Just used Timequake for the first time, about 3 hours of rapid aging and at least a dozen events (mostly raids) are ... something else, As duration scales with sensitivity you might not use it with overpowered pawn afterall.

Depends on the pawn. If it's someone with modifiers that limit bad moods then sky's the limit, or if they don't have a lot else useful about them besides the psychic sensitivity. If it's my leader or cook or something and they don't have that mood buffer then I'm going to be more conservative.

That said, you can always throw the psychic foil hats on them or something if it gets bad.

Psycasts from cheaty levels of sensitivity are hillarious. My main can cast a waterskip that covers the entire map XD. His paralysis pulse does too. His frost beam lasts 5 hours in-game.

Speaking of frost beam, it would be nice if there were a way to stop it early in situations like that.

If you have trading expanded you can make a contract for psyhic foil helmet, its 250$ so you can set high mark-up.
