AI is difficult.
As for the attack autocast, my Staticlord pawn with alternates between firing with his weapon, and firing with his autocast Bolt.
Since the best spells for autocast are debuffs/utility (Bolt has EMP on mechs and sets organics on fire), alternating weaponfire and psycasts is usually the best behavior.
If you want a pawn to exclusively attack with ranged psycasts, you'd want to equip them with a melee weapon.
Have you guy's seen Psitech's autocasting system? Would/could VPE's autocasting be something like that?
