Exiting trailer Error
When a player exits the RV after it has been driven by someone else while they are inside the vehicle. The exiting player is teleported to the position of the RV prior to it being driven, rather than appearing in one of the seats or outside of the vehicle. This occurs even if the RV is stopped and the engine is turned off before the player exits. The only exception to this behavior is when the RV has been driven a very short distance

I actually did find a solution, before you exit the vehicle, do not move your character at all. After you exit do not move your character at all either. If the character is completely still you will be successfully teleported back to the the RV.

There's a fix on the way in the upcoming version 1.3.2. In the meantime, the bug is triggered by getting into the driver's seat directly from the interior, and then driving away... the code to update the interior's exit point doesn't start up if you do that in 1.3.1. If you switch seats to the driver's seat, or enter the vehicle from the driver side door, it will start to update the exit position correctly again.
