Q&A for gameplay related stuff
Hey, i decided to open this thread to answer some question that may pop up while playing with this mod. It's mainly for stuff like "how do i get X" so new mod users have an easier time.


Q: Who the are you??
A: I'm the one who made the english translation mod. And therefore went through the mod files quite a few times. You can find it by simply searching for "Miho" in the workshop or in the "English translation?" thread.

Q: How do I get ebonsilk?
A: After you finished the research you can plant mulberry trees. Once they reach 100% growth they will give you ebonsilk. The growth will then go down by a few %. Once it's at 100% again you will get more silk. During the growth period you will also get mulberries, yum.

Q: How do i get exotic matter?
A: Exotic matter is sold by the "Tech Supply Team". This is a miho caravan.
You also get 10 exotic matter from deconstructing a vanometric power cell. Sometimes an ancient danger can have 1-2 exotic matter.

Q: Why can't my pawns prepare the sushi?
A: That one is a bit confusing because rimworld doesnt show the recipe properly. It specifially needs helianto petals, corn and rice. I added the ingredients in the item description so you can always check it in game. This seems to be a Rimworld issue.

Q: I gave a child a power pill but after 1h nothing happened.
A: Something did happen but you simply can't see it yet. When the 1h is over the child receives a hidden hediff which counts down. Once the countdown reaches 0 your child should receive it's class.

i can suggest a few stuff to add:
you can get 10x exotic matter per vanometric power cell

you can also get exotic matter from ancient dangers. i don't know if it's still the same in the recent updates, but you can get 2x exotic matter per ancient danger
Thanks for pointing out the power cell. I never tried deconstructing one.^^
I checked the mod files and it seems like ancient dangers can still have 1-2 exotic matter.

Something Ive never quite understood. Why is it that sometimes the power pills work and sometimes the power pills dont work. I have two different games going that have Miho in them.
In one game I'm playing as a Kurin faction, a Miho joins me. I give her a power pill, the countdown starts, then finishes, and she has a class like expected.
In another game I'm playing as a Miho faction. When trying to give my Miho a power pill the countdown 'starts' like normal. But after a few in game hours it resets and shows all the classes at 2400 hours.
Whats going on here?
The only reason I can come up with would be that your pawn already has a class. But you probably don't try to give a pawn a second class, do you?

This never happened to me but I also haven't used power pills a lot.

I don't think I can be of help here. If you can somehow reproduce this and document it with screenshots, maybe we can find an answer. But if it's some kind of bug then PePeTan has to look into it.

Nope. They dont already have a class. And I cant even blame it on the mod that removes their initial psylink [seeing as the above situation happened with that mod active].

Are your save files old maybe? PePeTan did some changes to the player faction in one of the recent updates. We now have 2 factions: One where the pawns already have a class and another where you start without a class. For the existing faction the classes on starting pawns got removed. Could be some kind of version conflict then (dunno if thats possible).

No. Both of these saves were started from like a week ago. Maybe 2 weeks tops

If I were to remove the Miho weapons with Cherry picker, would they just get assigned vanilla weapons or are the Miho weapons hard coded into their equip?
I don't use that mod so I guess just test it.

They can use any weapon. Though the NPC/Enemy Mihos might derp. Im not certain [as Ive always seen them spawn with Miho weaponry]

My miho children don't have the organ which nerfs their learning speed significantly. I'm assuming this is a bug rather than intended?
The organ should grow after 1 or 2 ingame days once you give them a power pill. If thats not happening then consider adding it using dev mode.
