Ascension Perks
Crisis Perks

Return - only for the Nomad empire
Does not work together with Become the crisis perk.

You build a giant catapult to travel back to your home galaxy. The current galaxy will be used as counterweight and the released energy will destroy the entire map!


Replicators - available for all machine empires
Works together with Become the crisis perk.

Unlocking the perk grants you access to the shipclasses Nanitar (colossus) and Replica (battleship built with Nanites, based on armor). Exploding planets with the Nanitar generates Nanites.

After finishing the special project (unlocked after getting the perk) the amount of generated Nanites increases - if done right, you will be able to spam a strong battleship fleet.


Gods Vengeance - available for all spiritualist empires
Works together with Become the crisis perk.

Unlocking the perk adds the building Sanctum to the capital planet. It adds a new job which produces Zro and some research. A new edict lets you sacrifice them to gain Zro.

The Zro can be used to create Voidangels, a very fast and energy-based battleship with the cost of Zro and Unity. Finishing the new special project increases your overall Unity income a lot to create more Voidangels.


Array of the end - available for the "Halo" origin
Become the crisis perk will not be available, it has its own crisis path!

This is the first full crisis playthrough added to DarkSpace. Apart from the fact that you can shot with a working Halo megastructure into far systems, this perk will lead to a total war with the entire galaxy - also Fallen Empires.

Like the BecomeTheCrisis perk, several stages must be done to reach the endgame. You will be able to build a new megastructure with 4 main stages. Stage 2 will cause you to be the global crisis for all and declare a total war. For this the shooting Halo structure will get a bigger firerate to defend yourself.


Interstellar Overclocking - available for the "Spectrals-cluster" origin
Become the crisis perk will not be available, it has its own crisis path!

Unlocking the perk adds a longer situation-log to get multiple technologies for new megastructures, shipclasses and more. It also has some of the first available lore of DarkSpace - information about the ancient machine race Spectrals.
Not much has to be explained, the situation log will tell you everything!

Other Ascension Perks

The ultimate weapon - available for all empires
Works together with Become the crisis perk.

Unlocking the perk adds the technology for the Exterminator class (large ship with the shape of a sphere). Its basically a deathstar, it has a quick shooting planet killer installed and is overall pretty strong. It even works when being a custodian, because its only a smaller perk.


Arcane Ascension - available for all empires
This perk will help you to become a Fallen Empire and spawn new empires.

Shattering the space - available for all empires
This perk adds the Darkmatter-Ripper megastructure, a super weapon to target systems across the entire galaxy. Please read this topic for a tutorial!

Halo Array - available for all empires
This perk adds the Halo megastructure, a super weapon to target systems across the entire galaxy. Please read this topic for a tutorial!
Megastructure Superweapons

Genetic Assimilation - available for all empires
Adds a new build that has only jobs for other species - not your own main species.
Use the planetary decision (available after building it) to convert these other species into your primary species. Machines can assimilate machines, organics can do it with organics.
Limits are: No enslaved/purged pops, no pops that are the same kind of your primary species.


Onyx Matrix - only for machines
A new planetary decision gets unlocked to terraform any planet into an "Onyx" planet. Pops with the citizenship "Purge" will produce tech/research points while being on this planet, and die slower.

Megastructure perk - Age of empires
Available for all empires.
Unlocks new megastructures for your economy. Stats of their last stage:

Nano-Factory
Can be built on Gas-Giants.
- produces exotic gases, rare crystals and volatile motes - 25 each
- increases job output of all specialists by 5%
- max upgrade level needs dark matter to start

Science Academy
Can be built on stars.
- produces 0.2 minor artifacts (needs the DLC to get them)
- researcher upkeep reduced by 10%
- decryption/encryption each +2
- research alternatives +1

Skycatcher
Can be build on planets with a minimum size of 22.
- has Ecumenopolis-districts with more job bonuses

Space Casino
Produces a few energy credits & society research.
Player can gamble to receive random rewards/events.
Not available for Gestalts.

Megastructure perk - Emperor's Will
Available for all empires.
Unlocks new megastructures for your military. Stats of their last stage:

Social Manipulation Center
Can be built on planets.
- produces 30 Unity
- pop build/growth speed +5%
- planet stability +5

Warlord Bastion
Can be built on planets.
- produces 1 Influence
- ship upkeep reduced by 5%
- ships gain 33% more experience
- fleet command limit increased by 40

Destiny Ascension
Produces Zro & Unity. Finishing it starts random events.
Events can have positive and negative results.
Not available for Gestalts.
