Gigastructure Stellar Engine
DarkSpace's Stellar Engine is the dream of every advanced empire. Its ability to teleport around the map has an unseen potential of strategic domination. Thanks to its unique districts and basic resource production, the Engine is also an economic powerhouse.

How to get it?
Accept the ascension perk "Stellar Engine". The situation log will receive a special project to finish. Follow each tab and read the descriptions of what will happen next.

The Engine spawns
When finishing the first steps of the Engine, it will spawn near your current capital system.
You can NOT build it in any other way, it will always spawn near your capital system!
Then you will be able to build the first stages.

The Engine Systems
Continue the special projects and finish them. One will unlock 8 - 16 new systems in the map called "Stellar Engine Systems 1-16" - all empires will see them! They will be the systems the Engine will use as teleport target. Only after finishing this project you will be able to reach the final stage of the Engine.
Systems 1 - 8 = all normal galaxy sizes
Systems 9-16 = only for larger galaxies
Homesystem = teleports back to the system where the Engine appeared after spawning for the first time. Works also for origins which have an own star cluster.

The unique district, (no) building slots
The Engine has only one district, but with a lot of jobs and resource production.
There are NO building slots available, because the buildings would always disappear when using the teleport feature. Instead, use the jobs of the single powerful district.

Resource and ship production
At the final stage, the Engine has 25 shipyard slots (more than a mega shipyard).
Its district produces dark matter without pops.

Teleport feature
The Engine is able to teleport into the previously mentioned "Stellar Engine Systems" (1-16).
To do this, upgrade the structure to the final stage until the description says "FTL is ready".
An event will appear where you can select which system will be targeted (1-16).

The entire structure will move to that system and take that district + ALL pops with it.
In this way you can basically invade hostile space across the entire galaxy, use its 25 shipyards wisely.

The teleport systems are limited to 1-16 because there was no other way to add this feature.
Its done via events and their "event_target" system, but this has strict limits.

Do not use the teleport when you still have ships in the building queue (in the Engine), otherwise they will be gone.

did the stellar engine get nerfed because it isn't producing any recourses other than dark mater

It changed yes, it has now many soldiers for a lot of naval cap, more shipyards and is easier to construct to use its main purpose - teleporting across the galaxy with your fleets.
