Bug Reports
This is a centralized topic to report bugs, since the new topics created don't send you a notification.

If you want us to take a look at your error, we NEED you to submit error logs. It is crucial you provide me with Hugslib logs - we are not interested in comments ‘X doesn’t work because Y’, and we will not reply to those, even delete them if they hide proper bug reporting. Hugslib logs are what tells us, devs, what went wrong, and what mods you were using.

IF YOU DON'T POST A HUGSLIB LOG, YOUR REPORT WILL BE DELETED FROM NOW ON TO AVOID CLUTTER.

To get hugslib logs, make sure you have a Hugslib mod running, then press CTRL-F12 while in game and copy the link to us.

If Hugslib is not an option:

Note that you can find your logs at \steamapps\common\RimWorld\RimWorldWin64_Data\output_log.txt and you can share it with me by uploading it to https://pastebin.com

Looks better, cheers for looking at it.

Mummification ritual with the burial framework thing is either broken, or you need to do something obscure and exact to trigger it. When getting a new colonist of your religion and executing them (since you can only mummify your own colonists / own religion) does not give the mummification option anywhere. Tried:

1) Clicking their bodies
2) Clicking leader or moralist then the target body
3) Looked for the option on tables, altar and ritual spots
4) I'd list more of what I've tried. But I've spent hours on it now and gave up

I have 12 dead colonists in the freezer. My own colonists. All dead. My own ideology. Can't mummify any of them.

Second. There is a bug with change style atm. Say you have morbid small statue 1,2,3 and esoteric small statue 1,2,3 in your ideology. If your crafter makes morbid small statue 2 for example. You can not change the style to anything other than morbid or esoteric 2.

Some sort of ritual roulette picture thing appears. But you can click a hundred times and that morbid small statue 2 will never become anything else than morbid small statue or esoteric small statue 2. It always land on the same thing.

Other than leader change style and mummification ritual not working. I've found no other issues in 1.4 and I love the mod. I consider it mandatory personally. So thanks for making this and updating it Sarg.

(I purged my mod lists for 1.4 and I'm only using a small handful of 1.4 supported mods atm, so I highly doubt these are compatibility issues with other mods).

Allie will have to take a look at the ritual stuff, but regarding the change style... I'm not sure it can be made to work properly with art ;)

For the Mummification ritual, its started a ritual spot or altar. I just tested and I have no issues. You have 9 days after a pawn has died to begin the ritual. When they die you should get a letter saying X funeral opportunity. If you aren't getting that something is setup wrong with you ideo, but for that letter the trigger is the same as vanilla funeral. If you are and can't see it on the ritual spot. I'm not sure.

You can provide a save file if you like and I can take a peak to see what's going on with the obligations, but with just the required mods I have no issues.

There is no issue when a colonist who is a part of the colony in day-to-day-life dies. Mummification prompts as it should. The issue is when you complete rituals to have people join you and arrest them to harvest them and kill them in order to mummify. You can't.

It could be that the issue is as simple as the code not recognizing your own imprisoned colonists as your colonists? I wanted a valley of mummified bodies, so I set all my ritual rewards to 50% chance of someone of your colony joining.

So I basically use rituals to get people. Arrest them and murder them. But then can't mummify them. If you have the time, could you check if there is some issue in the code which makes prisoners of your colony and ideology not trigger the mummification ritual?

In short. "Regular colony members" dying prompts mummification. However when I have someone join the colony and they die, I can't mummify. Despite them being part of my colony faction and ideology.
Allyina  [developer] Nov 8, 2022 @ 1:00pm
Ah yeah, that's part of the vanilla code. You could enslave them first. It should work, but wont send a letter. I'd have to rewrite the vanilla method then replace all the defs to do anything about it. Which then I'd have to figure out why I devs set it up that way to not create new problems.

So not really a bug, funerals are intended to be for your actual colonists. An imprisoned pawn is not considered your colonist.
Ouroboros Nov 8, 2022 @ 1:23pm
In that case there are no issues. Thanks for clarifying, and I apologize for wasting your time.

When I get a "Construct Monument" type quest it comes out with obviously wrong parameters (0x0 dimensions) and throws an exception (linked to pastebin, the text is very long) coming from AlphaMemes.AlphaMemes_SketchGenUtility_PlayerCanBuildNow_Patch.DisableIdeoFloors

I think Allie fixed that one, make sure Steam updates your mod

Small bug with Bulwark, if you reform your ideology and remove this meme, it does not remove the associated precept

I'm having this issue with the Anima Tree Burial where my colonists will start it but as soon as the speech is over they will cancel it.
Not only with the anima burial but also happened before I noticed with a Social festival event

Here's the hugslib log, first time doing this:
https://gist.github.com/3048a12437d0083d020c10ac356194b8

EDIT: Tried in a new save, apparently it only happens with the anima tree burial, the social festival thing happened cause of other reasons

Small bug with Hedonist/Biotech: you can assign the moral leader role to a minor adult (between childhood and full maturity) and while it will work, it seems to break/lock the orgy ritual. of course that's reasonable but it probably shouldn't let you assign the role to them the same way it already excludes minors from the ritual.

Unable to recreate with just required mods. The fact it also happened at some point with a Social festival a 100% vanilla ritual, also confirms its not specifically an issue with this mod

I can't tell what might do doing it. You can try to sus it out if you want, and I will try to add compatibility if possible.
