Bug Reports
This is a centralized topic to report bugs, since the new topics created don't send you a notification.

If you want us to take a look at your error, we NEED you to submit error logs. It is crucial you provide me with Hugslib logs - we are not interested in comments ‘X doesn’t work because Y’, and we will not reply to those, even delete them if they hide proper bug reporting. Hugslib logs are what tells us, devs, what went wrong, and what mods you were using.

IF YOU DON'T POST A HUGSLIB LOG, YOUR REPORT WILL BE DELETED FROM NOW ON TO AVOID CLUTTER.

To get hugslib logs, make sure you have a Hugslib mod running, then press CTRL-F12 while in game and copy the link to us.

So... Sharpshooter. From one game load to the next, from one sleep cycle to the next, from one Job to the next, I'm getting somewhat random, upwards scaling ranges applied to ranged weapons. It seems to update/change when Pawn changes/searches for Jobs, but that's a guess.

A Short Bow with 58 range is weird. A Short Bow with 148 range is hilariously bad.

This does persist through Save/Load, though it seems to reset the ranges to a lower number (58 in my case).
All Short Bows on pawns or ground seem to have the same ranges at any given time.
(Not restricted to Short Bows, seems any ranged weapon)
Modlist is huuuuge, but it's been fairly stable.
Alpha Memes was the only Mod added for this run, and this is a fresh colony.

It also seems to only happen with multiples of a weapon. 5x pawns with shortbows gets weird. A default start with 1x Pistol and 1x Rifle didn't have any weirdness.


Also Sharpshooter but not range problems: I did get the 'Used Melee Weapon' thought for slaughtering a downed pawn. Dunno if intended, but it's a bit silly to stand around and shoot at a prone and inexplicably elusive pre-corpse until death instead of a swift cut.

For the Kemetic Origin Fancy Limestone Power:

While the power shows a range of 10 or so on use (the white radius circle), it only works if the target square is within 3sq of the caster, and only affects blocks within 3sq of the caster.

Both the target of the ability and the blue range radius don't actually affect the cast, unless it's between 3sq and 10sq in which case the ability fails and triggers a cooldown.


This is on a fresh Dev Tribal colony with no mods other than required for Alpha Memes.

New game, mild alcohol abstinence precept, no alcohol on map, two days pass, suddenly everybody is upset because they drank alcohol. Haven't had a raid so nobody left beer lying around. No health condition having to do with alcohol.

I just received a "Build a Monument" quest whose blueprints call for the new Jewish tile flooring.

Problem is, none of my pawns are the right ideoligion to craft that tile flooring, so it's not letting me select a stone type in order to start construction.

There's no bug report to post here, nothing's breaking - it just doesn't allow me to construct the tiles the monument calls for.

And I used Simple Sidearms, so once tools started coming out, that's a lot of re-equipping. That makes sense.

RIP my 876sq range ICBM Short Bows, though.

Unsure if it's just something with my game or a bug, thought I'd post it just in case, but despite my colonists all having melee weapons (And my ideo having Gladiator), they are still getting a -10 mood buff for using ranged. Again unsure if its a mod bug or maybe just something with the base game.

Hi, I noticed that my pawns get the gladiator's mood debuff even though they're fighting in melee. Does throwing dirt into the enemy's eyes count as a ranged attack maybe?

I picked the City builders meme and sent 5 people to raid an camp and now they permanently have an -30 debuff for leaving the colony just asking if this is intentional? There is no time limit to the debuff.
