Suggestions
If there's anything that you feel is missing from Rim of Madness - Vampires, feel free to drop any suggestions here. If I agree, and I'm able, I might try to implement them.

Here are some things I'm already working on (slowly):

  • More clans and disciplines.

  • A system for vampires learning non-clan disciplines, like in pen and paper V:TM.

  • Some bug fixes for a few odd behaviors in the base mod.

Clan wise I'm going for a shoot-for-the-moon suggestion and suggest my favorite clan, Clan Cappadocian. It would be a lot of work, I don't expect it to even be considered, but I can hope!

Apart from that really looking forward to learning non-clan disciplines! Been waiting and hoping for that for years.

Also almost forgot. Maybe a system for thinblooded vamps to only be able to get up to the third dot abilities?

For Cappadocian vampires look at the Rim of Magic mod. They have a necromancer class that makes zombies that rot into skeletons. This may give you coding ideas on how to transport this over, or, even talk to the Mod creator and they can help you.

cadaverous animation for Mortis is what I'm thinking of. So something like "Raise the Corpse to Service" could treat those undead as "animals" that don't really want to fight, but smart enough to haul and rescue. and then "Call the Athanatos" having a controllable pawn, perhaps with the risk of it resurrecting as an enemy, and success raising a zombie that can have berserk mental breaks more often? Muster a Corpse Army basically an aoe version of Anthos, and dot one ability "Call the Homuncular Servant" is just a small dumb undead hand animal that is basically a distraction. All could be timed as i think they are in the tabletop.

Also more reasonable less difficult suggestion. Once you work out out of clan discipline learning, caitiff should be able to be set to have to pay out of clan costs for all disciplines in addition to the xp learning penalty.

@Lenny1013: I'm glad we're on the same page. The Cappadocian Clan / The Giovanni Bloodline were def. high up on my list. I'm not an animator, but I'm going to put some serious thought into either learning the skill, or finding a suitable alternative in Vampire / Vanilla files. It isn't an unreasonable request at all. I'm kind of learning as I go anyway. I've played around with / watched a course on 3D modeling / Animation, and this is 2D. I bet it isn't that difficult. My end-goal here is to implement all the clans that haven't been implemented elsewhere, and to include support for the ones I don't personally implement.

I'll also be looking into clan Nosferatu for inspiration on how to implement their curse, and give them social penalties to reflect their corpse-like appearance. (The missing curses always felt weird, since it's a defining feature of WOD vampires...)

For the XP, I think that I'll add some more options, and I'll definitely keep that in mind as I work on that system.

Edit:
And, I almost forgot: For thinbloods, I'll go with... Maybe. From a gameplay perspective, choosing to play a thinblood is a way to avoid having an overpowered pawn in your colony. I'm not sure if I want to deprive the player that wants to do that of content for the sake of sticking to canon. It could be an option though.

@Wyrmcrawler: Thanks for the practical advice! ROM will definitely be my first stop for inspiration for a lot of things. They've got a lot of cool effects.
