- HECU gasmask is now usable independently from helmets, for consistency with BMCER (BMCER is required for this to have any real effect)
- Remastered HECU patches again. Cleanup crew have been given better and more official designation, Chemical Biological Incident Reaction Force, and they have received custom patches inspired by real CBURN uniform patches with new patch configuration inspired by real military uniforms. DOE Security patch has been remastered with bit more realistic trim and its configuration has been changed to be inspired by real DOE Protective Force patch configuration.
- Pack_chest 3 medic pouch on all models is now slightly smaller and attached to the vest strap instead of webbing
- Rearranged and switched some face textures between 01 and 02 models for consistency with BMCER
- Remade LW Headset bodygroup on 01 HECU to be consistent quality not only with the new DOE headset but also for consistency with the headset on BMCER security guard models
- Default headset on cap bonewelded propr now uses LW headset
- Regular shades are now mirrored
- Remade DOE HECU visor to be higher quality and bit more accurate to real life designs
- Both 01 and 02 HECU now have both fingerless and fingered gloves, nomex gloves for 02 and tactical gloves for 01 (BMCER is required for the fingered gloves to appear)
- MOPP on 01 HECU is now attached to the PCV instead of going over the PCV to have it look more like it did on the HL1 HD Pack gasmask HECU
- Reworked 01 HECU PCV to be higher quality and more consistent with rest of this mods style. Its also slightly bulkier now.
- Reworked 02 HECU LAPD vest to resemble real LAPD vests bit more (added handful of details present on actual one)
- Reworked ALICE webbing textures on both 01 and 02 HECU to be darker and more dated looking. This was done not only for lore accuracy, but also because in real life the original color of this gear often quickly fades in use leading for overall darker and less saturated appearance.
- Replaced tactical boots with more timeperiod accurate military jungle boots. 02 HECU keep original black look, while 01 HECU have jungle coloring
- Reworked rolled up sleeves bodygroup on both 01 and 02 HECU cover entire upperarm, much closer match to what GoldSrc HECU had
- Replaced original 8point (actually patrol cap) from BMCE/BMCER with accurate 8point model, both urban and jungle camo versions (BMCER is required for the jungle camo version to appear)
- Replaced geiger counter packs_hips bodygroup of 01 HECU with grenade pouches (uses BMS frag grenade worldmodel with modified textures that fit the style of the models better). This change was done as we felt geiger counter is unnecessary on 01 HECU since there is meant to be one built in to their PCV.
- Replaced ammobelt packs_chest bodygroup of 02 HECU with DOE ID badge. This change was done as we felt it was weird to have ammobelt on whats meant to be effectively just a standby security force, and since 02 HECU are indeed meant to be the on-site military of BMRF it felt necessary to portay their pre-disaster appearance as well, hence ID badge hanging from webbing. As this bodygroup replaces ammobelt, it will appear incorrectly for those using only BMCE, namely it will appear exclusively on grenadiers and commanders. However as this mod is meant to be used alongside BMCER with BMCE support not being our top priority, we dont consider this big enough issue to the point where we would consider this a roadblock to add something.
- Balaclava will now always appear by default on non gasmask shotgunner HECU but is no longer "hardcoded" (its no longer dictated by "head" bodygroup") aka character manifest can now be used to make it not always appear even though it always will by default
- 02 HECU now use fictional ab-pat camo (standing for Abstract Pattern) inspired by apparent snow camo worn by HL1 LD pack HECU, meaning urban camo is now exclusive to 01 HECU.
- 02 HECU now have black holster
- 01 8point no longer has DOE logo, its been moved to separate 03 8point (BMCER is still required for this to appear)
- 02 8point now uses woodland camo instead of jungle camo
- changed jungle bandana to woodland bandana for accuracy with OpFor
- Made goggle lenses dark green and applied same color for gasmask lenses. This change was done not only for real life accuracy but also to have normal goggles stand out from engineer welder goggles
- Reworked MP shoulder pauldron to be more accurate to its real life counterparts
- remade zombie textures from scratch to ensure consistent quality and style with zombie textures from BMCER
- 02 HECU MOPP hood is now silvery in color
- Regular glasses are now black for lore accuracy (GI glasses keep the red brown color)
- Throat mic now has cable attaching it to the walkietalkie, this was done both for logic but also to allow this bodygroup to still be usable on DOE HECU alongside the high vis vest.
- Replaced Benny face on 01 HECU models with Dakashi face, for consistency with BMCER HECU
- Resized rucksack on all HECU models (+ zombies and junk prop) to be slightly smaller to achieve more lore accurate silhouette
- NVGs are now turned off when its flipped up
Fixes:
- Fixed gasmask clipping with BMCER Military Police helmets
- Fixed MP shoulder pauldron being noticably see-thru from certain angles
- Fixed various issues (clipping and otherwise) on HECU zombies. The model still isnt perfect, but its now much more in line with the current quality standards of BMCER and HECUR
- Fixed headcrab on HECU zombie not being correctly attached when in ragdoll pose
Removals:
- Removed plaster from 02 HECU models packs_hips medic bodygroup as not being compatible with the high vis vest (not to mention plaster wouldnt really be able to attach very well to a LAPD vest anyway)
- Removed 50cal tripod attached to rucksack. We may look in to restoring this at some point in the future, but for the time being we have done the decision to cut it in favour of actual grenadier rucksack. This was done as we felt it was more important to differentiate the gameplay affecting roles of HECU over the purely cosmetic ones.
- Removed MP vest patch from all 02 HECU as not looking as good as we hoped and for not being compatible with high vis vest
