[RGON] Repentance Plus!
This topic has been pinned, so it's probably important

[RP] Custom Health API animation files failed to load. Restart your game!
TL;DR: UNINSTALL ALL THE MODS THAT CHANGE HOW YOUR HEALTHBAR LOOKS. OR ONES THAT SEEM LIKE THEY DON'T, BUT FOR GOD KNOWS WHAT REASON THEY DO. LOOK, IT'S COMPLICATED.

Long version and explanation:

CHAPI stands for Custom Health API. It is a library that was initially created for Fiend Folio to support any kind of custom health one could wish for. This library is also embeddable into any mod that might want to use it, one of which is Repentance Plus.
CHAPI is now fully released, polished and open-sourced. Go thank FF devs (especially TaigaTreant) for the amazing work they did and ask them any questions directly related to it, if you have any!

Unfortunately, CHAPI requires a sole access to the HP graphic files located in the game. This means that a mod that uses CHAPI can not co-exist with any mod that attempts visual tweaks of player's healthbar (some of the mods don't change anything at all, they just have unnecessary files in their folders that cannot be overridden by CHAPI). Here's the list of mods that conflict with CHAPI (it may not be complete, so if you found any other mod that causes the issue, let me know):

If you have a mod conflict of that kind, there is no way to resolve it but to uninstall that mod or Repentance Plus. You can attempt to change the contents of those mods locally on your computer, but I wouldn't recommend doing that as 1) you may not understand whether these files are necessary for the mod, and 2) if that mod updates, your local deletions will be overridden from the workshop, forcing you to repeat the procedure.

Thanks for your understanding! This thread can and will only contain questions and answers, if there are any; other comments will be removed.

I have tried out the Good trip mod, works pretty well, yeah but that didn't seem to have fixed the issues. Also, wanted to note that not only was I getting a warning message from Repentance Plus, apparently some mods like Fiend Folio and Retribution were also broken, since none of the modded beggars or machines worked and the game refused to open doors in the certain rooms upon clearing them that (probably) included waiting enemies from Fiend Folio, simply just refusing to spawn and forcing me to technically skip the room by bombing the doors, as it was my only way of progressing.
However, today I have deleted a dozen of mods that I either had disable most of the time anyways or have suspected to be causing problems in the code and then I also decided to check out the current mods that I have to make sure if there's any new information I needed to know after not playing the game for months, like for example in case if any new required mods have been added to the lists. And the last thing I did before booting up the game was to install Repentogon, after that, most of my mods did some sort of fresh restart (all mod unlocks have gone off and I've got welcome messages from those as if I just installed them for the first time) and began to function properly after that, not giving out any errors or bugs in the process. So I guess all of my issues are fixed now and I can continue playing the game as normally.

I don't think any of my mods mess with my HP bar, but I still can't see it. Could anyone help and let me know what other possibilities it could be?
I don't have Repentance Plus enabled and it's still giving me the pop-up when I enable Fiend Folio. Is there any other way to get rid of it besides disabling the mod as of now? Even when I do enable it the pop-up still appears. I'mm playing on regular Repentance.

Fiend Folio uses the same api, and it behaves the same (last time I heard). So no, you can only disable the conflicting mods to prevent the issue. But you'd be better off asking FF devs for advice.
