Yeah, it seems I can't read as a proper Dragon Ball fan. I thought the unlocks were for ALL completion marks but it's actually the new ones. :GDNormal: Sorry for the confusion.

Well I mean, extra unlocks not being present in DSS menu is intentional. You can't "unlock" them in a normal sense, you need to get multiple other unlocks and then sync it. Them being unlocked by default, not so much.

Okay, it seems that items that are unlocked by earning all completion marks on a corresponding Tainted Character are gone from the DSS menu. Even tried a fresh install of the mod without anything else turned on.

Are all items present in the Unlocks Manager? I can't see things like The Hood, Dead Weight, Helicopter Boys and many more.

for some reason heart of greed won't work, i try picking up a coin but it won't fill out the coin heart, it's not giving any errors either, so idk what's causing it

@Mr. SeemsGood I'm making a lil montage highlight thingy over Bumbo (the item), along with a handful of sprite animation bits to tie the whole thing together narratively. If you want, I can send what I already have made, I've been using Compost as a placeholder for Bumbo's trash

An error occurred. I'm not seeing any health hearts on the HUD. And I only have this mod enabled.

I get a Custom Health API error when trying to run this with Fiend Folio. The only way to stop the error with FF was to disable this mod. I don't have other mods running except Repentogon

Is there a way to permanently disable certain unlocks? Flesh Chests don't feel worth it for the high health cost, and Crimson Chests only seem to occur with red keys very rarely. Eg maybe the DSS unlock manager could have an option for "Disabled"?

unfortunately tainted rocks never had a sprite for rocks with retracted spikes, so idk if there is an easy fix for this :(

Got an error walking into a room a tainted rock spawned in while holding flat file, I did bomb the rock and confirm it was in the room

that's a room that exists, yes. there is a very high chance that once unlocked, tainted rocks will be there and drop you a red key. but sometimes they aren't.

I've seen scarlet chests spawn with keys literally once ever. Every single other time they're keyeless. Pretty sure I get them in cursed rooms too. they'd be fine if they were actually working like that.
Fettered hearts just aren't worth a heart regardless though. Who's paying a key for half a heart? No one. But its actually 1.5 hearts because you can't grab the heart at all without using one.

since most of this is purely a personal preference, I'll say only in regards to scarlet chests: they are only encountered in ultra secret rooms or some other rare layouts where red keys are also present . often there is a choice of what to open with these keys, but they are there. this has been an issue in the past where people said exactly this and I've listened to community's feedback.

Play with this a while now, only actual content I leave enabled since its mostly good, but
- I don't get the point of scarlet chests when the only way this adds to get red keys is locked behind one of the hardest chars full completion. Most of the time, its just a chest you can't open. -1 chest in your run
-The black chests that hurt you are basically just never worth opening. And they're constantly in curse rooms. Often behind spikes. 3 damage checks in a row to get mostly mediocre items. Or a red key to use on the above chest, I guess.
-The revival hearts are bad; reviving in underpowered, largely ignored mechanic even on the guy designed to do it, nevermind everyone else. Its just -1 red heart to use on donation machines
- Fettered hearts aren't worth the key.
- Stargazer costs way too much for the final payout. Most runes aren't worth 50% of an item too. Average rune is worse than the average reverse card, which only costs 5.

Double checking its specifically wrong cards from this mod I get which turn to normal when dropped.
Ie last run i got valentines card. I haven't even unlocked tainted eden on this save file. Got 'Joker?' without unlocking it too.
Same with getting bag of jewels and being able to drop sin jewels with it (which turn into jera if picked up and dropped) despite not even having forgotten unlocked on this save or getting soul bond in one of my first runs of the mod before even unlocking the lost.
The unlocks seem very broken.
Hell checking isaac guru Birth Certificate is supposed to be like the last thing you unlock and I got that almost instantly I think within 10 runs of installing the mod

I was in the middle of spamming D20 so there were pills and cards all over the floor. I definitely dropped and picked it back up several times.

It generates wrong cards for me all the time. If you drop them then pick them up they'll turn back into normal cards though.
I don't think that bug is exclusive to this mod, seems fairly common. Could just be an issue with how deck works. Same thing happens with rune; they usually turn into jera if you drop them

I found a small bug. Flesh chests can drop bone hearts without them actually being unlocked.

one item came to mind when we were discussing this. Retribution mod has this item called Effigy, which gives you a 15% chance to replace all enemies in the room with harmless effigies. there are additional benefits, but FWIW, it's a q3 item. which makes no sense when compared to Flush right? because Flush is a 4 room recharge active, so it clears (at least) 25% of all the rooms, which is bigger than 15. and it kills some bosses. but it's q1 for some reason.
so yeah, balancing is hard lol :sergeySomeday:

There's also the issue of the pacing of its its upgrades.
Early game: Pay a resource you value more than killing rooms in the hopes you get an item (Flush does this too lol). If it spawned with a guaranteed key trinket (or several) this would be much better
Mid game: Its upgraded and costs hp, but I'm far enough to take full heart damage. And I should be killing rooms in under 12 seconds.
End-game: If I'm not killing within 12 seconds my runs is terrible.
Its only good extreme early game if you specifically have a trinket you care about and a big enough room for it to be worth it OR later on you just use it then kill everything for a chance at a drop, which is still medicore considering you need very specific key trinkets to even care about this beyond the early game. (blue key)
Not at all deserving of its rarity, this is an item that has multiple grinds and an RNG check and a resource dump to even be "flush is actually still better, but its technically worth using" tier

That just makes it... an even worse version of flush.
Flush: Instantly kill the room
Cripple: Wait 12 entire seconds to kill the room
The slow doesn't matter at all. You know what's slow? A dead enemy. You know what doesn't have to be hit with projectiles spawned from its allies dying? A dead enemy. You know what flush does? Kill every enemy on screen with less cost, no grind, faster on a lower tier item and no one uses flush the moment they find even a single mediocre item.
... and 2 keys and progress towards a transformation that's probably the single most common to get in the entire game anyways.
Its the stand-out "what were they thinking" item in this mod.
On top of all this Flush instantly kills multiple common bosses. This does... nothing to bosses unless they summon allies.

@Arc I think there are some nuances to the cripple effect that make it uncomparable to instakill. crippled enemies are drastically slowed down and shoot projectiles on death, which helps with crowd control. besides, the final form of the book has been updated to also cripple enemies, which means that key trinket synergies still apply. not to mention the book gives you 2 keys on pickup and is 1/3 of book worm transformation.

Kind of a mid mod. Adds a lot of item bloat that really doesn't do much for you. Too many status effects that do literally nothing to bosses, strange item weighting (why is cat in the box a rank 4 item? Its primary effect does nothing to bosses and you can't even use it with orbitals to easily beat trash mobs, its barely even worth tier 3) or just insanely poor design like book of leviathan
- Pay keys to begin with, the most limited resource, to kill enemies after 12 seconds (no effect on bosses lol); this is Flush but worse btw
- THEN if RNG favors me, I can pay hp instead; this is still a worse flush btw
- THEN if it favors me again, I can... use flush with a 6 room charge
And all its synergies with key trinkets I may never see work v 'crippled' enemies, not instakilled ones... the final form instakills enemies
This is also a tier higher than flush
Like who made this? Why? Its an item you grind to get something worse than an item that isn't worth picking up.

hey so im playing this mod with repentogon nightly on Rep+, everything works fine except for the unlocks and archivement, they dont get unlocked and i have to do it manualy, just telling you bc i know you can't fix it until repentogon release for Rep+.

btw this mod is amazing i love it, everything feels really vanilla!

About 3 days ago my health bar became unable to be seen. I've tried running every mod except this and the health bar worked; I uninstalled every mod (as in unsubscribed and BoI now only sees a single mod available in game) and the health bar still doesn't work. What should I do?

@karid565 It definitely does not work on rep+ because repentogon doesn't exist there and the mod uses repentogon specific features. As for why it doesn't work on pure rep anymore, I unfortunately wouldn't know
