If you installed the mod and it does not seem to be working, please review these common problems before posting a bug:
•Problem: I have installed the mod, but it doesn't work/Station not present.
Solution: Ensure the mod is enabled in your Playset: 1). On the left side of the Launcher click on "Playsets"; 2). In the top right corner select "Add More Mods"; 3). from here you should see the mod, select it with the checkbox checkmarked; 4). in the bottom left corner, after it became green, click on "Add 1 To Playset"; 5). finally, click on "Home" on the left side of the Launcher to get back to launch.
•Problem 2 derived from 1: I have ensured that the mod is enabled in my Playset, but it is still not working.
Solution: 1). Uninstall the mod completely: Simply click on the green button on the mod's Description page to unsubscribe and then afterwards, following the path C:\Users\"your username"\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod (or wherever you have your have Documents folder), ensure there is nothing left of the mod, including the "ugc_2579727090.mod" file. 2). After doing so, launch the Paradox Launcher and ensure the mod is not listed in your Playset. Close the Launcher and install the mod anew. Relaunch the Launcher and ensure the mod is enabled in your Playset (cf., Problem 1).
•Problem 3 Derived from 2: I have uninstalled the mod completely and reinstalled it. However, it's still not working.
Solution: Verify the integrity of the game files: 1). From your Steam Library, right click the game and click on "Properties"; 2). Click on Local Files; 3). Click on "Verify integrity of game files..."; 4). Allow the process to complete. If you are missing something, Steam will download and install it.
•Problem 4 derived from 3: I have done that even and it still doesn't work.
Solution: Uninstall HoI4 completely. If there is any left over files in your Steam directory after doing so for HoI4, delete them manually. Install the game anew and then your mods.
•Problem 5 derived from 4: Nope, still nothing.
Solution: Well, probably not really a solution, but you need to legally purchase and install a legal game, you high seas sailor you -- Argh, ye matey!
•Problem 6 derived from 5: How dare you insult me, sir, I be not a pirate!
Solution: Then, report your bug. However, unless it is being reported wide-spread, I may not have a solution for you -- your game is likely suffering something catastrophic and unknown.
•Different Problem: My Launcher is trying to download a/the mod that doesn't exist. (especially prevalent for original UGMC users).
Solution: Check to ensure that you have no mods installed that have since been deleted from Steam. Indeed, a deleted mod from Steam isn't removed from the Launcher. Via Steam*,
1). Go your Library > open HOI4 > second from the right, open "Workshop" > on the right, locate "Your Workshop Files" and "Your Files" click on "Subscribed items"; 2). Go through each of your subscribed mods and check if you get the error, "Sorry! An error was encountered while processing your request: There was a problem accessing the item. Please try again. Here's a link to the Steam Community home page." This means the mod has since been deleted and your Launcher is still trying to access it.
*Note: In the Launcher itself, it will say "This mod is not present on the disk. Subscribe to it or remove it from the playset.", accompanied with a red triangle with an exclamation mark (!). Below "Enabled" in green, you'll see an X -- in which you hover will say "Remove from Playset" -- accompanied with an ellipsis (...) -- in which you hover over will say "Open in Steam Workshop". If select the ellipsis and try to open the mod (it will redirect not to the Steam client rather your browser), and, if the mod has since been deleted, this too will give you the above error.
Now, to actually fix it: 1). Click on "unsubscribe" in Steam; and 2). open the Paradox Launcher and below the green "Enabled", click on the X ("Remove from the Playset").
•Problem 1 derived from the previous: I have checked Steam and ensured that I'm not superscribed to a mod since deleted, however, the problem persists.
Solution: 1). Unsubscribe from all mods in both the Steam Workshop and the Paradox mod site mods.paradoxplaza.com; 2). Delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV/mod/; 3). Delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/Hearts of Iron IV/mods_registry.json (if present) and the launcher-v2.sqlite (if present); 4). Launch the Launcher to ensure no mods are installed and there's no errors; 5). Close the Launcher and install your mods anew.
•Problem 2 derived from 1: I have removed both my mods_registry.json and launcher-v2.sqlite, but it's still not working.
Solution: In Windows, locate and uninstall the Launcher via add/remove programs via the Control Panel or Settings > Apps & Features. After doing so, launch the game from Steam and allow the Launcher to install anew. You may have to verify the integrity of the game files.

Just so you're aware, I am indeed willing to assist you with issues that aren't mod related, such as with the Paradox Launcher, for example, or with the game itself. Mod related or not, being as descriptive as possible with your issue; elaborating where and as much as you can; even including a screenshot (via Imgur so that you can share in your post), if so applicable; and including any steps/actions taken on your part would all be very helpful in helping me to help you. Indeed, the more descriptive you are, the better I'll be able to assist you. Just know, however, I may refer you to the official Paradox Tech Support Forum[forum.paradoxplaza.com] (an account there is required). Not because I don't want to help you, rather because either 1). I may not know or fully understand your issue, or 2). I legit don't know. Likely #2, but if it is #1 I'll try to clarify that with you. Nonetheless, I will do my best to help you out so that you can get back to bringing about the new world order. :)

I was using this mode well until a few months ago, but one day, it popped up as "refresh installed mode" and I couldn't press anything. so I uninstalled the HOI4 and installed again, but it remain the same. What's the solution?

I'm not quite sure what you mean. So, if I'm understanding you correctly, you installed UGMC, it was working fine, and then one day the Launcher told you to "refresh the installed mod"? I've not seen that before. Was this after I updated the UGMC to 2.01? When a mod gets updated, Steam automatically downloads and installs the update to the mod. Maybe yours had an issue there, if this came up after the update. If that's the case, maybe reload the mod: In the Launcher, click on the "All the installed mods" there on the left; in-between the magnifying glass and "VIEW" you'll see the arrow going back on itself (it'll say "Reload installed mods" if you hover your mouse over it), click that and allow it to do its thing. Hopefully that's what it's asking for you to do.

Thank you for your answer. And what you understand is correct. it says "Installed mode is being refreshed" and nothing is clicked. so...how can I completely remove the mode?

To uninstall it, the same green button you clicked to subscribe, you'll click that again to unsubscribe. Afterwards, follow the path C:\Users\"your username"\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Hearts of Iron IV\mod and ensure nothing is left of the UGMC, including the "ugc_2579727090.mod" file. If there is, just manually delete it. However, after doing so, and if you're going to reinstall the mod, follow the steps in Problem 2. :)

Thanks to your advise, I fixed the problem. Thank you so much!!

I downloaded the version 1 and now my launcher is trying to download the mod that doesn't exist and that's why i can't download any mods i have tried everything i could but nothing helps with the problem

Huh, wow, that's bizarre. Try this:
1. Unsubscribe from all HoI4 mods
2. Find the folder where your HoI4 saves are kept (it's probably going to be in your Documents folder, some variation on C:\Users\YourName\Documents\ParadoxInteractive\Hearts of Iron IV -- once you get there, you'll see folders for "logs", "save games", "mod", etc.)
3. Delete the mod folder and everything in it
4. Delete a file called mods_registry.json (If you still have it. My game doesn't.)
5. Re-launch the launcher and confirm there are no mods and then exit it
6. Now re-subscribe to your mods
If that doesn't work, then I would suggest to completely reinstall HoI4. I suspect that it may be an issue with your registry.json, so that should fix it, when you remove it, and reinstall of the game wouldn't be necessary. However, if after doing all of these and it's still not working, I would have to refer you to Paradox itself, sadly, posting in the official Paradox forums[forum.paradoxplaza.com], since it is a problem with the launcher and not the mod itself (UGMC 2.0 does nothing to or with the launcher). Hopefully, though, this will fix it.

Wow, holy crap, you went even as far as to uninstall your OS?!? Great Scott, I wouldn't have gone that far, not before reaching out to Paradox. Wow, very annoying indeed! So, clearly, there's some issue with the launcher then, if two of you have reported the same instance. I'm at a loss; nor have I experienced this issue myself -- the launcher is working just fine for me, and I'm not using a beta version. I'm glad you got it working though, SalzStrange. I'll look through their forums to see if anyone else is reporting this and if Paradox has a fix. Bizarre -- so many people have issues with the launcher, ever since its beginning. Nevertheless, I apologize for your frustration. I promise, the mod does nothing with or to the launcher -- it just loads it, that's it, like any other mod.

I don't know if this helps any, but my launcher is version 2021.9. Mine is also linked to my Steam account. Just a shot in the dark with this one, but is yours linked?

Alrighty, a bit more research in this issue and I'm yielding some results. It seems indeed this is an issue that is systemic with the launcher as of late, since I am finding Reddit threads as well in the Paradox forums. I found this one[forum.paradoxplaza.com] where a moderate did respond, and since there are no follow-ups, I'm hoping this might have fixed it. Although it's for Stellaris, the same process would apply just change Stellaris with Hearts of Iron IV. From AndrewT, posted 4 Oct. 21:

"Please try the following:

- unsubscribe from all mods in BOTH the Steam Workshop and the Paradox mod site mods.paradoxplaza.com
- delete the folder Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mod/
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/mods_registry.json (if present)
- delete the file Documents/Paradox Interactive/Stellaris/launcher-v2.sqlite (if present)
- run the game up and check the launcher is okay with no mod or other errors
- subscribe to a few mods

- run the game up and see if those mods are now available to you.

I hope that does it for you!"

Indeed, hopefully this is the fix. If not, let me know and I'll keep looking.

PS: I just found a related Reddit here where someone fixed it by uninstalling the launcher via the add/remove programs in Windows and then reinstalling it via the client.

PSS: Also found this: Check to ensure that you have no mods installed that have since been deleted. I would actually advise do this very first before anything else. It's also the simplest. You will have to do this in Steam, by the way. To do this, in Steam do the following:
1). Go your Library > open HOI4 > second from the right, open Workshop > on the right, locate "Your Workshop Files" and "Your Files" click on "Subscribed items";
2). Go through each of your subscribed mods and check if there's an error when trying to access it. If there is, or there is a red hue on the mod banner, then the mod has been deleted and your Launcher is still trying to access it;
3). To stop it, click on "unsubscribe".

@Larpas, hey, I very likely didn't understand exactly what you meant by "version 1", sorry. SalzStange shared an image of his issue and it turns out that he had the original UGMC mod still trying to load in the Launcher; and, with it being a deleted mod, indeed that would cause issues. If by "version 1" that's what you meant, and if you haven't yet fixed it, check out my reply above there, the PSS specifically, for the fix. :) Let me know if that doesn't fix it as there is a manual process too.
