Nudist's Evasion

Weapon mods and apparel advantages.
When i first started the game it was easy, way too easy, so i did a nudist run, but then i learned of more and more mods and the game became harder than anything Randy could throw at me. Between xenorcas spawning with Doomsday launchers at the first relic quest and rabbies having -30% aiming time outfits, i started necessitating the use of apparels especially when wielding weapons with 3+ seconds of aiming time.

And it doesn't stop there, eccentric tech and +1 move speed underarmor, neclose and +2 move speed armor, plenty of apparels that negate or reduce some races' biggest disadvantages or strengthen their advantages, also bombs... Centipede, Moyo balista, and Hellsing bullets explode on impact, meaning they can't be dodged (i think), i swear i shot off a char's arm, a kidney, and both of it's legs in 1 hit ...with explosive bullet, i also noted in the mod files the guns are listed as "bomb" projectile and not bullet.

Now why am i writing this wall of text and info dump about other mods? Because my character got it's head bitten off in 1 hit and i want to complain? No, because i have 2 questions: Why is the movement speed only while drafted, and is it possible to go beyond? Sure it wouldn't be "evasion" anymore, but social impact, aiming speed, melee speed, even the nudist trait can be changed to add stuff like work speed and temperature resistance.

I don't know if i'm asking too much, but i felt like turning nudist's negative stance into a neutral or positive was the aiming of the mod, and unfortunately i lack the skills required to change stuff since all i change lead to black screens.

Having the movement buff as permanent seemed too strong. It increases colony efficiency by a LOT since the majority of time is actually spent moving, so I thought keeping it as combat only is better for balance. Also I imagine out of combat movement as just walking, and walking speed isn't really any higher just because you're naked.

But you're right. In the late-game (especially with strong modded items like yours) nudists won't really be able to keep up. As you observed, explosives do ignore evasion. But more little buffs like aim speed or melee speed won't really change that. And having too many buffs becomes an issue between the changes making them too strong in the early game vs. too weak in the very late game. I don't really see any way around that besides adding a lot of "magic" protection accessories for the late game, which I think is outside the scope of this mod.

However, I am working on another mod to change up the temperature system a bit, which will pair up well with nudist runs ;3

this is why i ahve a feeling the magic mod somehow is got its own self balincing, because mages well they hit or they dont, and depending on stuff a nude mage may libe a bit more also its got a TON of accery items that dont cover jack *yet i think still count as body clothing* so thats a option also i learned. JUST UNSUB, i only did so recently but sometimes clean your bloody slate with mods, gmod and rim suffer GRATLY from over active mod communitys, hell we even got a resident modding addict (who i and many love to hell) that keep some of the good mods bug free and working. so sometimes ya need to demod the game, im gonna low mod mine or try to :P not played in a year or is it a few months... eh i know i have not played sense 1.3 came out

I'd like to thank Dogbert for all the wonderful mod suggestions in his initial post.
And as for lechkingofdead, wiping your mod load order down to the basics every now and then is a good thing.
I find that deciding on a certain theme for the mod list and sticking with it helps cut down on load order bloat a great deal.
