Feature request: "Lay alongside network"
Hey macsergey, just noticed this would probably get lost among the many comments, so I'm posting it again here:

I wonder if you might consider implementing a feature I've long been wanting to see: "Lay alongside network" - select a set of nodes and segments, activate tool, select another set of nodes and segments and the first selection will get lined up directly alongside the other network, with all the segments exactly parallel. This is the one thing we don't have for C:S right now that everybody needs, well if you ask me, anyway. :)

Hey Brot, wouldn't Parallel Road Tool do similar like that? But to build networks, not changing existing ones...

Hey man, thanks for the hint. Yeah, I know PRT of course. But that's the point really - it only works when building new nets. If I've already got, say, a nice highway that has been perfectly adjusted using MoveIt and slope smoothing and so on, and then later I want to lay something alongside it, then I'll have to do it mostly by hand.

You can use PRT to upgrade an existing road to a parallel set

Angius, you're right that's possible. But I think you'll agree that it is way more hassle than just working with two nets that you've already placed. I mean, just finding the right one using PRT's huge dropdown lists is a major pain in the backside each time.

You can search in PRT to narrow things down. It would be nice if there was a more GUI driven way to find the network by network type (road, rail , path, etc), elevated / normal / tunnel, and so on. It's till a useful tool and I use it frequently in my builds - especially with highways.
