Bug Report: Colonists Disappear On New Game
I started a new colony on the 'New Axis' scenario; I then went through the usual setup and eventually started the game. However, the game started on the world map, and all of my colonists and their starting items were gone, with no error reported.

So nobody knows about how to fix this problem?

Okay, I think I've worked it out... disable Ideology and it works :)

Do you have any other mods installed? I will be looking into this issue later today.

I've tried it with all your recommended mods but turning off Ideology works

Yes, it appears to be an issue with Ideology; I've reported it, and the devs are looking into it.

I believe the issue is actually being caused by RWW2, I think it has something to do with the CultureDefs in the mod. It also appears to be the cause of the Ideology UI bugging out in my YT series.

Disregard what I said before, the issue is being caused by the RWW2 scenarios. It runs fine so long as you don't use them.

I've noticed similar problems in the scenario added by one of my mods; if you play with the Ideology system enabled, then the colonists and items disappear. If you play with ideologies disabled, it works fine.

It's rather strange, as only modded scenarios appear to be affected; starting a new colony on any of the default RimWorld scenarios works fine, even without the ideology system.

Hopefully the devs can figure something out soon.

The game doesn't spawn pawns unless ideology is turned off. Believe me... I spent 5 hours trying every possible combination yesterday.

@SheepMaiden Does this bug continue to occur for you without using RWW2? Does it occur on vanilla scenarios or just modded ones? In my tests I've only been able to reproduce the issue with my custom scenarios.

No its only happens when i have RWW2 activated.
I used the basic crashlanded scenario

I think I found the cause of the issue, in the Factions_Player def there was a single line missing that assigned it a culture. I added it in and now I'm not getting errors anymore.

Awesome! Great work :)

Yep, that's fixed it. I applied the same fix to my own custom scenario and it is no longer giving me problems any more, so thanks for that!
