You are playing as a fictional faction called POF as no faction that exists in the CDLC made perfect sense.
Therefore no bootlicking is required for playing Antistasi Cam Lao Nam :)
Our goal is to supply a mission that is fun to play based on assets provided by the game itself, C/DLCs and mods.
No faction made sense? About about the Viet Cong/NLF?
neither does your post, the PAVN were a regular army with tanks and planes, the NFL were the guerrila force.
The CDLC has 4 factions.
Blufor - MACV
Opfor - PAVN
Opfor - VC
Ind - ARVN
This four factions can be sorted into two groups which are using basically the same equipment.
One group with MACV and ARVN.
One group with PAVN and VC.
As our goal is to make a mission which utilised most of the assets so the player is facing different enemies and can get ahold of a lot different weapons, gear and vehicles, we chose one of each group as one enemy faction.
PAVN as the occupant and MACV as the invader.
Based on that it wouldn't have made any sense to play either as VC or as ARVN you technically would fight kind of your own side to some degree.
This is why we came up with the POF (Pissed of Farmers) which, in the style of Antistasi, are just some people who are sick and tired of war and want their country back for themselves (and for Petros to take over to be able to get more cocaine).
In case you don't agree with the choice we made, feel free to create your own factions to play as and adapt the game to your liking.
All the code is available on GitHub and you would be neither the first, nor the last who does that.
Other than that I can tell you nothing else besides waiting, as we might add more playable factions in the future. But for now we have other priorities.
Thank you for your understanding
My only complaint is that my black pajamas don't fit right. or left.
I couldn't agree more. From the start I was searching for multiplayer campaign on VC / NVA side, to play it on my dedicated server, and there's none!
You may kill Vietnamese as much as you want in "Arma3 SOG PF", but killing US soldiers is politically incorrect?
But playing as the PAVN would make only little sense in this mod. There might be rationale for a Vietcong variant with a supply point at the end of the HoChiMinh trail but even that would mean you start with 0 support which makes no sense either, unless the fundamentals of Antistasi are changed.
I agree with you so i have find this type of antistasi
