Duck's Insane Skills [1.4 pre-release]
Just in case, this is the version of the mod we are using right now when talking about bugs. The link is from Duck's github, he posted it almost a day ago. The workhop one does NOT work. It hasn't been updated yet as the 1.4 one is still being tested by Duck and all of us that just couldn't wait for the full release :P.

https://github.com/iwishforducks/ducks-rimworld/releases/tag/DIS-v2.0.0-alpha

Just follow his guide on the page to install it.

Is this currently "tiered"?

As in: Once you reach level x in a skill, you might lose progress back to level x, but can't go to level x-1.
So, reach level 15 and while you might lose progress back to level 15, you can't go down to 14 anymore.

Does the github version have the Config menu implemented yet? The version I downloaded didn't have it, and it seems the mod disables Masterwork and Legendary messages by default.

Nope, it's an empty menu for now.

On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is pretty much smooth and 1 means the game is unplayable except for testing purposes, how good is the mod in the current state in that github? Just to know if using it might blow my game or I might not even notice it.

uh...I think it wasn't working with VSE? I don't even use it so no idea if it still isn't working. That aside, I have a ton of mods and it's working properly :P. Do have in mind it only has the infinite skill scaling and no menu.
Stim The One Nov 22, 2022 @ 7:39am
I can confirm that for some reason I can't open the expertise menu for vanilla skills expanded and neither do I see the new passions in a game started with this mod.

Strange because VSE was the original mod to bring me here since they said that they fixed it to work with this mod. But, things change. Hopefully things get back to speed someday.

Edit: Nevermind, that is caused by the newest update having an issue with VSE. So far so good on other things.

I'm completely unfamiliar with GitHub. If I use this version of the mod, will I have trouble when/if the workshop version is updated?

Thanks. Though given the only way I know to fully deactivate mods is a full mod-cleasing... Think I'll wait for the steam mod to update, lol. 😅

Is there a way to do this without a zip extractor?

This doesn't work anymore either right? I loaded it into my game but it doesn't do anything.
