Cannibal Problems
Several commenters, myself included, have been having a problem where this mod makes it impossible to play a cannibal village using Ideology, because the pawns themselves do not have the Cannibal trait so they hate one another for eating human meat, but their Ideology demands that they eat human meat, so couples are in constant jeopardy and social fights occur several times a day. Has this been fixed yet?

If there exists a way to disable this opinion in the mod options I have yet to find it

I found a bit of a workaround to this. You will need to go into mod settings and disable forming memories setting. This will not remove the memories from the pawns however. To do that you need to go into dev mode and remove memories from pawns using the debug Tool. now having disabled memories they will not form any more of the someone ate human flesh memories.

This deserves a fix, it turns off one of the game's playtypes in the new expansion

I hope it's going to get fixed, I just realised this is the reason why EVERYONE in my colony keeps hurling insults at each other and social fighting. Probably also why relationships occur rarely and end quickly...

Why does the main page list no known issues when this is a known issue?

currently I am not experiencing this problem anymore even with memories turned on, can anyone else confirm or deny?

Nope, I literally just realised what the issue was in my colony and a quick google sent me here.
I've only been playing this colony for the past 2 irl days.

I turned off the memories yesterday, played my colony for a bit, played again today and the memories are forming again even with the option off.

double check that theyre turned off again when you start the next session, some mods have an annoying habit of resetting their settings every time you open the game

Could we get a proper fix instead?

It's definitely off, still having the issue. Hopefully the devs will release a fix soon

From what I could gather, adding nullifyingTraits and nullifyingPrecepts to the thought VSIE_IngestedHumanFlesh in Thoughts_Situation_Social.xml solves this problem.

At least, I didn't manage to make the -25 social thought about human meat show up again.

I did it like this, imitating the ObservedLayingCorpse thought from the Core:
<nullifyingTraits> <li>Psychopath</li> <li>Cannibal</li> </nullifyingTraits> <nullifyingPrecepts> <li MayRequire="Ludeon.RimWorld.Ideology">Cannibalism_Acceptable</li> <li MayRequire="Ludeon.RimWorld.Ideology">Cannibalism_Preferred</li> <li MayRequire="Ludeon.RimWorld.Ideology">Cannibalism_RequiredStrong</li> <li MayRequire="Ludeon.RimWorld.Ideology">Cannibalism_RequiredRavenous</li> </nullifyingPrecepts>
