Guys I think @Marcus_Flavius_Aquila has a good point. So so far the balance is to NOT to bullgod.

I don't mind the Roman Cards from CA too much but most of the others although stylized to look what CA percieves as authentic for the time are just too ugly for my taste. Gaul light Cav as an example has a huge head and a toso with ribs sticking out like a death camp survivior. Also as new customized units are made you would have to alter CA icons in some fashion. I am sorry but for me I want cards that look as much like the real unit as possible (Realistic). I simply won't play a ame with CA cards anymore. I know its a personal preference but thats my choice. As much as I love Abel's work (his tactincs and formations are the best) I won't be playing his mods if the icons are CA

ok, but let us play with apropiate unit cards.

I use the unit cards from "Normal" and they look great and realistic. It really is a big change and also a matter of who prefers the vanilla cards above cards that look like your units.....My vote goes to these cards:)

what does appropriate mean Marcus? Appropriate is a subject word. the bottome line is personal preference. Visual appeal and the best most realistic graphics is key to this gaming experience. I choose not to use cards that are one dimesional amd to me lifeless and soul less. The CA cards being generic are easier for CA then doing artwork. I bought the best video card I could afford to enjoy graphics. I was attracted to Abel's mod's because of realism, I want my unit cards to look as close as possible to the units themselves. Thats my opinion and no one has to agree.

mfo59 yes its about preference and isn't great that we have this forum for discussion? Last I looked Normal had cards for Romans only, is that still the case?
mfo59 Mar 6, 2014 @ 9:25am
No he also has started on cards for Celtics but it is slow going...

mf059, yes that makes sense you don't want to rush an artist
