Maybe because the focus trees were never intended to be completed.
You can’t delete divisions because it would destabilize the GCW
Realistically speaking, the surrender limits are there because it’s total war, and everyone is trying to fight to the death.
You can set the custom game rules so that the Toronto accords won’t intervene
And for the manstein thing, I don’t really know but maybe read about why on their reddit or lore?
Now let me tell you this
It always seems like your one of those people that complain about every little detail, and while your anger is understandable, Pretty much no one cares that you have issues with TWR. If I want to be honest here, it is that you need to chill. I seen you have went bonkers all over in TNO, and I’ll tell you this: look at the response you got. Clearly, you didn’t see the bigger image, and I doubt you’ll see the bigger image of this mod, too.
Now please, don’t rant like a madman. Sure, somethings aren’t perfect, but I would be fine with it, not be needing swears to make a point.
May you chill please? Negative things like this only do more harm then good.
There really needs to be some effort placed on repairing the weirdness... like the naval units being completely screwed up (using a variant interface that we are used to for tanks and planes, does not make sense for naval units) and all of the missing graphics for planes, tanks, etc. My naval menu had weird hulls and i noticed several techs with missing descriptions. I know this will improve over time, it was just a little surprising to see.
I liked the map, its obvious a lot of effort went into it.
The national focus trees are a good start, but they seem very basic and limiting, and to be honest, a little complicated to understand.
I disagree with the statement that focus trees were not intended to be completed. I have to agree with the original poster that why build a tree if you do not want it complete? I also am going to have to agree with questioning of the high surrender limits. No nation would fight to the point of total destruction
You might be right actually... But only a fanatical one would I guess.
But that's what actually happened during World War 2. The German army kept fighting even when all of Germany was conquered except Berlin.
Thanks for the criticism of my critic, how do I intervene directly in the cabinet with the army?
10/10
'Failed' attempt to keep things cool and Bormann took over, to be replaced by one of the lesser characters, and found that interesting, but, restart (painful economy)...
Himmler takes over. Certainly now the gloves come off, right? Sort of, I couldnt even get the option to restore control of France IIRC. If a maniac like that in charge couldnt get the TA off the arses, I dont know what would. I mean, that path the most I could do was take Sweden and the minor axis powers? Maybe Goebels is the right sort of crazy to go full on world domination?
Played as US, the GCW went on for 6 years, finally intervened and sorted it in a few weeks. But then, nothing to do, 1975 restart...
Finishing tonight a playthrough as China, which has been kinda fun but with Germany pacified by the accord again I have resorted to nocb'ing my way (China vs India was enjoyable, China vs SOV also. I expect my inevitable grab of Korea, in the TA, will see me nuked beyond all sense with CHI's minimal air force unable to defend -- 2 research slots!!!??).
I really like the mod, but without late game events, or ideological crusading, it pains me to see all the 90's tech that I have yet to use (well, without the current China playthrough breaking the cb rule)
If ever a mod made me want to lend a hand (considerable coding skills but no modding ones), this one is it, cause its a great start and has a number of really solid trees (I really enjoyed the storyline of AH and his deathbed successor choice)
For all its flaws, I really am liking it and looking forward to any updates.
