English Culture
I have been playing as a Briton tribe from the Fall of Rome and I formed the Kingdom of England. I was wondering if there is a desicion or event that changes the Briton culture to English culture.

Isn't the Britons like Britons and the English were Anglo_Saxons so that wouldn't really make too much sense?

Well could I convert to Anglo Saxon and then to English?

Most likely not cause there both extremely different cultures unless there's an event when Anglo-Saxons come over from Germany.

The English culture is historically a weird mix of Briton, Anglo-Saxon and Norman cultures. Currently it's so unlikely for England to be conquered by first Anglo-Saxons and then Normans that I haven't bothered making events to make English culture appear.

It was really a fluke that it happened historically. It's entirely possible that some other tribe, or no-one at all, would have been invited to Britain to fight the Picts, and it's entirely possible that the Anglo-Saxons would have won at the Battle of Hastings. I don't feel it should be made more likely to occur, since the chances of these events turning out as they did was so incredibly low in reality.

It shouldn't be possible. Forming Bretagne or some spelling thereof perhaps, but forming Angle-land shouldn't be possible unless you're playing as Angles/Saxons/Jutes/English

Do you happen to recall the year you formed England?? I've seen culture pop up out of nowhere before in geographically correct locations, so maybe the english culture poped up without you noticing?

Sorry, but I last played that save over year ago. I really don't remember much. I don't even know if what I did then is even still possible with all the changes to the game and mod. But, if you really want to know, I believe I played as Wessex. I formed and united the kingdom of England maybe 50 to 100 years or so into the game.

If you were playing as Wessex, then yes, you should be able to form England. Wessex was an Anglo-Saxon kingdom, not an ancient Briton (Celtic) tribe. The name Wessex comes from West Saxons. For the Celtic, pre-Anglo-Saxon tribes, you need a start date probably before AD 450, and preferably before the Romans arrived, so before AD 50.
