European Union and other international alliances
Hello everybody!

***Updated description***
2015.12.4

The EU is part of the main mod

WWII and Cold war v. 1.0

WWII:
-Axis alliance
-Germany will wreck Europe
-USA and Soviet Union actually join the war
-Unique cb for fascist government

Cold War:
-Added Nato and Warsaw coalitions
-Proxy wars: fight to spread communism or stop it
-Bankruptcy will tear apart either the USSR or the US
-Nuclear warfare

Integrated into Extended Timeline:
-Cb to install a friendly democratic, communist or fascist regime
-Fascist and Communist dictatorship are now similar to Bureaucratic Despotism, with events on ruler's death to change government

European Union:
-Can form, join, leave, dismantle or unite the EU

-Ability to pass european reforms

However, ai Great Britain and Denmark won't do it.

Oh, also ai Switzerland will never join EU.

Added the ability to:
-Found the EU if starting before it was started historically.
-Dismantle the EU if one controls the capitals of the founding members.
-Unite the EU in a single state.

Maybe you could add the option to de-unify a unified EU as a possible wargoal? (The EU would still exist, just not as a unified country) and it would be blocked from unifying again for a certain amount of time.

Also, how about allowing ai Britain and Denmark to join the monetary union, just have a very low chance of that happening? (Same thing with ai Switzerland joining the EU)

I'm afraid there is no way to de-unify the EU unless you like ugly borders :( But I'll see what I can do about the ai, thank you for your comment ;)

Updated: in those cases, the ai will join only if their economy is not doing too well (some inflation).

There are also several candidate countries that should have higher chances of joining the EU or should join the EU at some point after 2015.

- Albania
- Montenegro
- Serbia
- Macedonia
- Turkey
- Iceland
- Greenland (If independent)

Potential candidates

- Bosnia and Herzegovina
- Kosovo

Every european country can already join. I'm told they all do in 50-100 years from the start, depending on the start date. Turkey usually joins last because of its technology.

When playing as a member of the EU, you can't normally declare war on other countries. To avoid this problem, members can now become "leaders" of the EU.

As long as a country is the leader of the EU, its economic bonus is greatly reduced; however it gains the right to declare war on other countries, and the entire EU will join.

-Unique government type for EU after unification
-Nerfed EU army size into oblivion
-Enabled internal EU war (although the ai will rarely attack)

No it is some kind of workaround with personal unions and stuff.
I whanted to know how will this handle diferent nations surviving like the visigoths,lombardy or rome. In my current game started around 1000 it makes no sence for russia not to join Europe since the Abbassids have since the start of the campaing been conquering everything that could make them a superpower,Byzantium wich migrated to Italy also because of the abassids did not join the EU. The Umayyad in Spain should also act has a turkey like situation but they have been not in the union for 200 years. Whould it not make sense also for Canada to be abble to join the EU,there have been talks and they seem to have a very relatable governament with their social democracy thing going on. LOL i just noticed my name and how ironic my coment may sound :P Please explain how to create the unified EU has one contry.
