Province defection - Mongolia

Hi,
I'm playing as Mongolia and i started around 1206, now its 1269. I just noticed provinces stopped defecting when i'm at war.
My question is, when do provinces stop to defect to me? What is the trigger? or are they always supposed to defect and this is a bug?

No, the defection comes from a country modifier, which ends after a while. This is intentional.
