Dharmic religion more accurate
Unlike in eu4, Buddhism, Jainism, Sikhism, Hinduism are all considered Dharmic faiths with all having similar holy colour (orange), symbolism (swastika), beliefs. Many buddhists pray to Hindu gods. similarly many Hindus worship buddha as a deity. So Dharmic syncretism can be enhanced so as to consider those faiths heretical and not heathens. Also the feature where buddha can be accepted as a persona deity should allow Hindus to use buddhist only monuments and make all buddhists accepted religion. Also during Ashokan Magadha or Pala Bengal rulers were buddhist and majority citizens were Hindus but the rulers were not considered of a different religion and there was no religious animosity or conflict

Yes, I agree EU4 mechanics can't properly represent the way religions work in the east. The religion mechanic is done very much with Europe in mind. Not much I can do about that unfortunately.

Oh no problem. You already made eu4 so much better to play (essential mod). A few more idea groups throughout the ages and it will be better than perfect
