Colonial Nations Balance Suggestion and maybe a Bug?
First off want to say that this mod has reinvented the game for me, and IMO is one of the most amazing fanworks in any game ever. Thanks to the creator a bunch.

That being said, I noticed some issues when playing with colonies around 2000+.

1: There seems to be a bug with some islands in the pacific. About half a dozen of them aren't part of the Colonial Oceania colonial area, even though they are surrounded by provinces that are. I noticed American Samoa (or Pago Pago) and most but not all of the modern-day british-owned pacific islands are like this, as well as some random others. Is this meant to be? I can't figure out why that would be the case. These provinces don't belong to any other CN or trade company area, which makes me think it must be a bug.

If this is a bug I could check and give the exact Province IDs of the provinces that aren't part of the colonial area.

2: Some of the colonies are too buff, to the point that without console commands they would revolt no matter how powerful you are or how well you treat them.

This is ESPECIALLY the case with Colonial East America and Colonial Mexico. To a lesser degree this affect Colonial Colombia and some other large CNs. If your CN owns the entire colonial region, they can end up at 3k+ development. This is enough to keep them CONSTANTLY at 100% lib desire even if you have 100 trust and 200 opinion from them, you are way bigger, and placate their ruler the max amount of times.

What I would suggest is that Colonial Mexico be broken into at least 3 different CNs and East America into at least 2. What would also be a good idea is for the last Age to give -25% lib desire from development or something.

For the separations, I would suggest number one making Colonial Cascadia. It is the only colonial area in the base game that isn't in the mod, and it would take up much of current colonial california. Then you can give colonial california their portion of current colonial mexico to decrease colonial mexico's size. Then I would suggest making a "colonial central america" or "colonial texas" area to break it up further.

For the Eastern America CN, I would split it between north and south. This may not be QUITE historically accurate but it is just too strong to be all together. in 2000 the USA has just made that area far to developed to all be one CN.

Sorry for the long post, interested in feedback from anyone.

TL;DR: Colonial East America and Colonial Mexico impossibly thicc, colonial oceania is missing some random provinces.

1. Almost certainly a bug.

2. It being hard to keep hold onto large colonies is intentional. That's how it happened historically.

1) Good to know. I'll look up the province IDs and get back to you.

2) I understand that. But this becomes literally impossible without console commands (and even difficult with them). And it's only for those 2 where it is that bad. Colonial Niger, Colonial West Indies, and Colonial Colombia can be difficult without being impossible. Colonial East America and Colonial Mexico are flat out impossible, the only way to hold on to the territory would be to use vassals or do that trick that makes it so no more colonial nations can spawn.

I don't mind difficult, I do mind impossible.

Ok I answered your points in my other comment (idk if you could see it since I didn't quote you, don't use many steam discussion threads)

But here are the provinces that have no colonial region or trade company attributed to them:

These 5 should go to colonial oceania (they are in the middle of it, and are in states with other provinces that are in CO):

4301 (Iwo Jima) (Owned by Japan at 2020) (this one might be added to the Nippon Charter instead)

3356 (pukapuka) (owned by New Zealand at 2020 I think)

3357 (Tokelau) (owned by New Zealand at 2020 I think)

3358 (Niue) (owned by New Zealand at 2020 I think)

3359 (Pago Pago) (owned by the USA at 2020 I think)

These two provinces do not belong in Colonial Oceania but also do not have TCs:

3159 (This is a small island in the south indian ocean owned by France. I think it would go to the Coromandel TC, but 2 of the provinces in it's state go to the Indonesian TC so that could work too).

3148 This is Jan Mayen. Judging by its 0/0/0 development and lack of having other provinces in its state I am guessing that this is a meme province and does not actually need a TC. But I thought I'd mention it.
