Suggestions for dynamic province names
Hello everyone, I am the creater of dynamic provinces for the E.T. mod.
If you have any suggestions for the "dynamic province names", you can type them in this discussion.

1. The name of the province where the dynamic name should be (if possible the province ID)
2. The nation and the culture for which it should be added
3. The dynamic province name
4. The source, to comprehend where the name came from.

Sadly it is not possible. Because this province is already represent as "Zemaitija". And it would also not be possible to make it shown up in the modern world, because the culture and TAG for Lithuania exists over a few hundred years.

You should reneame the Turkish cities. I am not an expert with coding or numbers, but the names are from ottoman times Suğla? İçel? Sultanönü? Hüdavendigar? Konstantinniye? Can you please take a look at the modern map and reneame please? Because it is disturbing like this.
Thanks!

It is in work since some days. Got already 4 provinces/cities which got an other name in the modern Turkey: Istanbul, Mentese, Doğubeyazıt, Yozgat. If you have some more, please write them down in this discussion.

Thank you for your work. But have you any sources for me, where the names came from ? Or are they "reconstructed" by your own ?

Most of them are reconstructed according to the geography of the land they're in (like the Euriportus series; they are situated in a natural canal [euripus] between the island of Vancouver [Hecatinsula] and the American [Atlantae; I assumed the romans would have never named that land after either Columbus or Amerigo Vespucci but after the fabled Atlantis, in the Great Ocean] mainland).
Some names for islands are other indirect names given for Atlantis; Strongylae or Strongilae was "the Round", named after the concentric canals Atlantis was renowned for having in crypto-myths; Kallistae "the fair" was also another one of its name, which I've given to Anticosti.
Other names have been taken from the tribes living there (the Cree become Krae in latinized form; Romans also used to name main settlements of the barbarians they knew of "Campus", and then just sticked the name of the tribe beside it).
Lastly, some of them are named after some biblical figure. The Bay James become the "Mare Japhetus" (one of the son of Noah, or Naemus if latinized), after which there are some provinces named depending on locations.
I tried to be creative, seeing as Romans could have no way of knowing about the Americas.

Even this comment is a bit late, i can say that the "New world colony names" mod will get added to E.T.
There will exist a version for E.T. and the vanilla game.
Everything has already been discussed depends on this.

If the interest exists I can do more of these but they're very time consuming especially for Okinawan since it's very time consuming to find existing resources and all the possible readings. I can also only work with Mandarin because I don't actually speak any Chinese so I have to find romanzations for historical names which are easiest to find in Mandarin (Han culture), I'm willing to put in the work but only if it's something people want.
