Is it really a problem for you??? :O
It's not about failing on purpose, it's about historical accuracy. Great War resulted in great loses...
You are right here... I'll think about some more ideas ;)
- triple the size of your land for "Classical Age"
- become Curia controller (some times in a row) for ???
What would you say for one objective for each age that would go beyond that age? For example exploring America earlier, in 1200 and stuff like that?
GREAT WAR AGE:
- Something to do with developing nuclear missiles (this is an absolute must given the Cold War)
- Maybe something to do with having a large army (though this might be stepping on the toes of "top 3 great powers" and "win war against great power").
- If NATO and the Warsaw Pact, or even the UN can be properly implemented at some point (if devs provide the tools for custom HRE-type systems which can be triggered by events), then joining one of these would be great.
- Supporting a successful rebellion in a foreign country
- Be secular
INFORMATION AGE
- Embrace internet and keep it in all states (ripped straight out of the Age of Discovery)
- Be a member of either the EU OR NAFTA
- I sort of feel like the mod itself needs to have an event to change trade goods to more modern stuff (canned food/cars and then electronic goods/FMCGs/media etc.) when a province reaches a certain development level and tech reaches a certain point (natural resources present could modify probabilities). And then, the age goal here would be to dominate the market in a modern good. Countries like Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan are winners because they produce so much of the world's electronic goods.
The game is called "Europa Universalis" ;)
Hence why all vanilla ages are eurocentric.
While what you say is true the new patch will change many eastern countries' mechanics, therefore, in my humble opinion, some objectives just for eastern or even certain eastern countries could add some spice to the game and make playing ET as one of the asian countries more attractive.
Splendid idea, good sir!
