Played on Hard with Lucky Nations off.
Played from 220 to 2005, starting as Silla, forming Korea very soon after(297 to be exact).
Entirely defeated and conquered Han by 651 with a litte help from a few southern allies, ending the Mandate of Heaven.
Bucked around, randomly conquering until 900, when I met very VERY blobbing Parthia(they blobbed onto most of Europe, north Africa, western India and Arabia. Yeah, they even somehow conquered Rashidun).
Got into a drawn-out, 93 YEAR war with Parthia(903-996, yeah, War Exhaustion slapped me all the time but Parthia didnt want peace) that ended with my victory.
We both conquered and assimilated other, smaller nations, of course clashing with one another with hollow benefits from those wars. By 1532 the Old World(Asia, Europe, North Africa) was entirely divided between us. To be honest, aside of the Americas, Axum and Beja(my vassals tho) there was nothing to conquer from anyone else. Then I started my colonial rush into Siberia and North America. Parthia also rushed colonially on their own into Africa, and by extension, South America. When 1900 came, most of the world was either Korean or Parthian, with only a few native american tribes and Inca remaining independent. Around this time Nationalist events happened, and both hegemons started to crumble. 70 years later most of those empires just shrinked by giving independence after independence to everyone in their borders. Parthia retained its Persian heartland, Levant, Arabia, Egypt and Caucasus + this weirdo province of Languedoc. I retained most of Siberia and China, obviously Korea, half of Japan and some Moluccan ports(21/20/22 Ternate ftw). And as such, by 2005 I stopped playing because of late-game lag that always happens because why not. The world was... Kinda weird. And Rome's cores+culture survived in three provinces of Barcelona, Tunis and Urbino till 2005. Huh.
Honestly? In the beggining I didn't treat them with enough care, and they eventually just overwhelmed me with their sheer more-than-100k stacks. And AI just got slapped by rebels because it's AI. Coulda play this even more, but the save is gone, and late-game lag was so horrendous that playing from 1990 to 2005 took longer than from 220 to 1500.
We made a group for it, and several of still play et pretty offten. If you want some of the wild tales lol I wrote some for the bois on this group http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SaveEu4. Also if anyone wants to join us in games we'd be happy to add you.
