Possible powers / improvements

Maybe when he is low on sanity he speaks jibberish when he is examining a item. :)

turns into the devil or krampus or something when he is insane in pitchblack night without a fire, and he glows when he turns into a devil so you dont have to make a fire.:claugh:

Can you make it so he can take control of monsters/creatures or maybe take their form? probably with some consequence?

prehaps he could craft some of the magic iteams without a shadow manipulater, or he could craft a necronomicon and reserect the skeletans you find, and upgrade chester's bone eye
mabey even use meat, fur, and other animal parts to creat his own monster's

maybe he could specialise with magic items so they have a durability multiplier for things like staves and amulets
