No Longwatch Bug And More Abilities Missing
The currently shipped default config for this mod has a few typo's contained within.

This is an oversight that causes your snipers to not be able to use longwatch, amongst other things. The mods author, Musashi, is currently taking a well earned hiatus from the pressures of modding XCOM2.

Get this mod to fix these issues:

GET THE FIX MOD!!


Thankfully, fixing this issue is something you can do yourself, with a simple decent text editor like VSCode or Notepad++.

Go to this mods configs and open XComAbilityToSlotReassignment

Change the config so it has the following code lines, to re-enable longwatch, the original typo was for "SiperRifles";
+WeaponCategorySets=(WeaponCategorySetName=PrecisionRifles, WeaponCategories=(sniper_rifle, vektor_rifle)) +AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=LongWatch, WeaponCategorySetName=PrecisionRifles)

Change the code for RapidFire so that your shotgun rangers can use it again, the original config locked it to Rifles;
+AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=RapidFire, WeaponCategorySetName=AllMainWeapons)

Change the code for inTheZone and SharpshooterAim, so everyone can use them again, the original config incorrectly limited these to PrecisionRifles;
+AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=InTheZone, WeaponCategorySetName=AllMainWeapons) ;this is serial +AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=SharpshooterAim, WeaponCategorySetName=AllMainWeapons) ;this is the Post-Hunker Aim bonus

Change the following in the psi abilities block, if they are there and remove or comment them out, as these abilities should not be tied to a weapon slot;
;+AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=Solace, WeaponCategorySetName=PsiAmpLike) ;not assigned to a weapon ;+AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=Sustain, WeaponCategorySetName=PsiAmpLike) ;not assigned to a weapon ;+AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=Fortress, WeaponCategorySetName=PsiAmpLike) ;not assigned to a weapon

Change demolition too and remove or comment it out ... or many weapons/classes/units can't use their demolition shots;
;+AbilityWeaponCategories=(AbilityName=Demolition, WeaponCategorySetName=Cannons)

One more thing change any mentions of the "psionicrepeater" to "psionicReaper"

Just checking this last one as it seemed odd (but may be perfectly legit):

Is it meant to be "psionicReaper"? or "psionicRepeater"?

Getting a new bug after installing this mod that grays out the normal Slash that costs one action and doesn't end the turn if there are more actions. Instead there's a new icon for a Slash that always ends the turn. Could it be because of this mod?

Possibly? Is the item a sword and from what mod is the one-action Slash (as slash has always been a turn-ending melee action)

It's not turn ending in LWOTC. It happened with a Shinobi's regular sword. Weird thing is that it was usable again after repositioning to another adjacent tile. *Shrug* It was also usable with a Gunner's knife in a different mission after moving to an adjacent tile. Might be a bug that's difficult to reproduce.

EDIT: It used to be that there would be only one icon for Slash, but after installing this and another mod, there are now two icons. I just don't know which mod is doing it. Lol

this mod will be giving you wotc "Slash" for your sword ... LWotC will be giving you "Slash_LW" for your shinobi

These are two different abilities with the same 'player facing' name, and act in different ways

Open this mods configs and change the line;
+MandatoryAbilities=(AbilityName=SwordSlice, WeaponCategorySetName=Swords)
to
+MandatoryAbilities=(AbilityName=SwordSlice_LW, WeaponCategorySetName=Swords)
and it should all be fine ... try leading with "I'm playing a HUGE game overhaul called LWotC" next time, it helps identify the issue :) lol :)

Made the apropriate changes but still loosing my Sniper rifle overwatch, weather long watch or not.

Hi!

I tried your fix but the problem is still there :(

Here is what I tried:

- Manual fix as described here: https://steamcommunity.com/workshop/filedetails/discussion/2133397762/3048360012553485872/
Cannot do it because I cannot find the XComAbilityToSlotReassignment file

- Disabling "Ability To Slot Reassignment" mod: didn't work

- Reinstall: didn't work

Any ideas?
