Sorry Helixien,
title's no offence here as the idea and the way how it's introduced is fascinating.

I'd like you to check on two things after finishing your prior project:
Started on Wasteland with Androids only, Hive Reactor glowing, several animals and bugs roaming around.
After a while toxic rain started, killing slowely all living animals.
You can guess, only the bugs survived.
After the rain ended and the bugs started hunting my 'droids 'cause of hunger I realized two things:
- The Hive Reactor was gone, only some metals and uranium were on the spot. Is it possible that the reactor got damage over time, ticking away his hit points during the toxic rain? Like equipment laying around, not being under the roof? So it won't trigger the bug wave.
- I've waited IG several months but not a single animal came back only event driven ones (caravan animals wandered in). They do but get almost insta killed be the toxic rain. Have several cadavers on each map side...

Now it's really a wasteland. :srnuke:

Yeah I had a similar problem I think it's just that the bugs don't have great AI out in the open and they tend to wander out too far away from the hive to be ab;e check if it's damaged or eat the jelly. Maybe it's just that they don't see it as a hive so don't hang around it for that reason?
My problem might be unique because I'm running the Vanilla Factions Expanded: Insectoids Mod too as well it might be my Animal Logic mod affecting it too.
I'll do more testing and send my results to the mod creator if they're willing.:engi:

Edit:so after studying the how the bugs interact with the hive it's now clear that they only really interact with the Ancient Reactor Hive when something attacks it. They seem not to be interested in hanging around it like they would be with a normal hive, nor do the working castes of the hive "maintain" it and keep it from decaying.

As a side note I found out that hives can't reproduce without some kind of roof above a area where the adjacent hive can spawn under.

More of They don't work together then a Bug, BUT better give this place more use them 1-2 comments.

Deathclaws/"Rimclaws" don't work with "A Dog said" or other Animal based mods that would allow you to do Operations on them. This means Death claws damage and most Likely Battle Scars are some what Permanent. I say some what due to the fact you can still Administer them Chems/drugs. :beeped:

Game errors upon generating a wasteland map.

Seconding dallasbeek, i have quests to hack stuff for a relic , but it failed to generate the map and the quest automatically failed.

I have other quest to subdue pirates to stop their psychic drone but my soldiers just wont enter the map, the marker is still there but it said too dangerous to comeback before 24 hours and repeats. The game just wont let me enter wasteland map.

event of Rimclaw passing doesnt have text. It appears as something like "RG_Rimclaw_Passing"
