User error or is the mod not generating patrol missions?
I;m thrilled to see the mod around again.

So with only the intent to assist whomever may be working on it, I want to offer my similar experience where when I use a UBE start - especially on the western coast of france, there seems to be a major hangup with the mission availability specifically starting around august 1940. Not sure yet if other times might be better.

I tried transferring to different flotillas to get a sense for it. So while Kiel seemed perfect - Rochelle and Brest both generally would generate zero missions, and if any, only specialty ones.

Average patrols are not at all on the table.

I'm still in the process of trying different combinations of starting conditions in search for a pattern with these issues.

(not sure yet if UBE starts are uniquely affected, for example)

This is on a fresh Uboat install with cleared temp/cache etc

Okay after some testing, regardless of UBE start or normal one, as long as the port is Rochelle or basically anywhere French west coast, the missions are borked. At best they offer only the special ones (pass strait of gibraltar, recover enigma, rescue official etc)

However if you move towards Bergen, Willhelmshaven, Kiel etc you have the expected spread.

I'll leave this here for now, might delete and give it its own thread.

thanks again for bringing UE back, Ive literally not played at all waiting for this mod to come back. I appreciate your hard work.

I'm in the same U boat, it's not working after saving... I agree I cannot pay the game without this MOD. Link, thank you for doing what the devs should have done a long time ago. The vanilla game is lacking depth. Keep it up, we're all looking forward to it.

Like I said, just due to the wide variety of variables, I couldn't be totally certain it's not me - but I did try to eliminate all the common causes and to stick to only expanded and its requirements.

What's killing me is that i think every part of the mod is basically working right now except for ports and ports probably isn't working because vanilla supplanted the need for it.

I really wish there was a way for me to test this, but if I could run uboat expanded with just the additional ships, convoys etc every module except for expanded ports: I think (while there would still be debug log errors) that the player experience would be remedied.
