Mod does work on any map but some maps you have to add in dino's with ini options, like Scorched Earth since it has no ocean. I believe Valguero works just fine though since it has every biome(I don't personally play on it though)
Nests and wandering babies are found randomly throughout the map. Usually if you see a herd/flock/gaggle of creatures there will be a nest nearby. When you get into the range of some nests raptor/allo/argy you will get a notification in the bottom right corner of your screen.

Alright, yesterday I found a baby phiomia, I don't know what the base time is to grow up, but he was flying through it. I fear that if there's shorter grow up/hatch times than phiomia I won't ever find the babies because they'll be grown up/hatched before I get there.
