Creature Info
#1. Viperwing
-Tameable: Tranq
-Habitat: Redwoods, Sunken Forest, Bog Biome Canopy
A creature resembling a cross between a pterosaur and a snake. An agile aerial predator, Viperwing also boasts a potent venom, much like a normal snake. For those wanting an early flier a bit better in combat than Pteranodon, Viperwing is a good go-to. Its slightly more durable and its venomous bite allows for more hit-and-run tactics when the fight gets tough, allowing for more flexible options of attack. The only downside in combat is it has no ability to attack enemy riders directly like pteranodon. however for those who favor more direct combat, Viperwing proves its use.
-Immune to Venom
-Left click bite. Does ok damage and inflicts venom.
-Right click (air only) grab. Grabs anything pteranodon can
-C key (air only) barrel roll. good damage and inflicts venom. Cannot be done with insufficient stamina, and does not hit the rider like Pteranodon's does.
-Spacebar flight

#2. Coloborhynchus
-Tameable: Tranq
-Habitat: Mountains, Beaches, Sanctuary (Upper), Ocean Biome Islands.
Coloborhynchus is a large predatory pterosaur found soaring over various locales. An active predator, Coloborhynchus's keen eye and high intelligence help it survive in the ARK's hostile environments. With how much creatures need to fight to survive, Coloborhynchus has adapted many abilities to make sure it can survive. As a pterosaur adapted to flight, Coloborhynchus never has to land. Simply by hovering on air currents it can keep itself aloft and rested. Its beak is hard and heavy for a pterosaur: lined with sharp teeth that help pack a surprising bit of power in its attacks. An opportunistic predator, Coloborhynchus is ok scavenging or hunting, and has adapted a strange weapon of survival- when eating fresh kills, its body seems to go into a heightened state of regeneration. While it regenerates health like Argentavis, it becomes extremely resistant to toxins and gaping wounds for a time in this heightened state. This helps Coloborhynchus throughout the island as it fights against various creatures for survival. Tamed, Coloborhynchus is a solid flier. It is fairly fast and strong for its size, with abilities that can help it and its owner stand a better chance in the ecosystem: if one doesn't mind being unable to grab targets that is...
-Coloborhynchus can regenerate stamina when not sprinting when flying. The speed regenerates at the same speed when "walking" when flying and when hovering.
-Left click bite. Has good damage (stronger than argent). When eating corpses, gains a "Survivalist" buff. While it will regenerate health, it does not regen as fast as argent. However, it gets a 8% melee increase and becomes temporarily immune to Venom and Bleed statuses. If you already are inflicted with said status, it will NOT remove the buff. However, it will prevent continued attacks from the enemy from re-applying the buff until Survivalist deactivates.
-Right click roar, for aesthetic.
-Spacebar flight

#3. Storm Drake
-Tameable: Tranq
-Habitat: Mountains, Scorched Mountains, Desert Biodome, Element Chamber, Volcanic environments, Genesis Volcanic Biome.
A brute-force relative of the Rock Drake, Managarmr, and Wyvern, Storm Drakes are large draconic creatures found in high-altitude environments. Despite their awkward anatomy, they are extremely strong, with powerful jaws and bulky bodies that make them vicious in close quarters combat. Storm Drake seem to be a creature augmented or influenced by Element, but in a rather unique way. It seems it uses elemental energy to create Electrical energy. It can fire this energy in a breath attack in the form of a burst-like spray, but it's only a small side effect. Storm Drake also gets its name from its ability to shoot through the air. Not flying, but a strange form of magnetic-held flight held aloft, boosting around at high speeds. While this travel is fast, it is also very clumsy in quick reflex, but excellent in long-distance travel. While it takes time to get used to the feeling and controls of a gliding Storm Drake, it offers a lighting-fast opportunity to travel.
-Reduces the weight of Element (shards, whole, dust, ore) in its inventory
-Immune to radiation, electrical attacks
-Cannot level speed.
-Cannot take fall damage
-Left click bite. Deals great damage.
-Right click Land Charge. Storm Drake will charge forward in a gliding motion similar to a pachy charge. High stamina cost and only in a short line.
-C key electric burst. Shoots 3-5 projectiles that deal electric damage (no shocking). A good burst, shotgun-esqe projectile. can also be used with right click when falling/gliding/swimming
-X key (land) roar. For aesthetic.
-X key (air) Boost. This is Storm Drake's main ability. It will propell the storm drake forward in the direction it looks at a high stamina cost. See the end post for more info.
-Spacebar to jump
-Hold spacebar: glide

/////HOW TO BOOST WITH STORM DRAKE////

Consider Storm Drake a strange mix of Managarmr and Terror Bird. It will use Gliding with Impulse Bursts to move, which can get a bit tricky. However when mastered it's one of the quickest ways to travel!

-Spacebar to jump. Hold space and your Storm Drake will hold out its wings eventually to do a terror bird style glide. This glide decreases your altitude extremely slowly. If you dont need to boost or travel long distances, this is a great way to travel on minimal stamina (cheaper than using the right click dash everywhere). It's also better to use just a glide when you want to orbit or attack a target with lightning breath.

-X at any moment will use a small bit of forward impulse to propel the Storm Drake the direction IT is looking (not you!). The momentum will suddenly change the direction of your glide and keep it heading the initial direction it was looking when you started the boost.

-Hold Spacebar while boosting (preferrably before using X) and Storm drake WONT loose a single bit of altitude, keeping it for the entire boost as long as you hold spacebar. If you let go, storm drake will begin to quickly plummet.

-If falling (exited dash or fell off a cliff), you can use X to immediately go into a boost. If you go from a falling state to holding spacebar, it wont decrease your speed of descent, but it can prepare you for another step: a follow up boost. If you boost, it will immediately stop your descent and keep you on a level altitude.

-You can use Boost to rapidly change directions (remember to wait for your Storm Drake to turn the direction you want it to before using Boost), or to save yourself from falling too fast if you need to cover up for accidentally letting off spacebar for your parachute glide. The possibilities are endless!

-WHEN YOU LAND, MAKE SURE TO STOP HOLDING SPACEBAR JUST BEFORE LANDING. If you don't, you'll launch yourself right back into the air with another jump!

-To make Storm Drake turn when gliding/boosting, simply use W (forward movement key) to do as such, and it will turn to face the direction your screen is looking: like Terror Bird.

#4. Cornusaurus
-Tameable: Tranq (REQUIRES APEX KIBBLE OF AC2)
-Habitat: Redwoods, Sunken Forest, Tundra Wasteland (Genesis Tundra, X-Variant)
Cornusaurus is an apex-level theropod found in various forested environments. Its appearance calls tell to the Wendigo: a cannibalistic spirit in native-american folklore. Just like it, however, it is a ravenous and bloodthirsty creature. Every attack with its jaws or horns bleeds the target, and it is capable of delivering a fearsome roar that can damage the nerves of enemies temporarily: blinding them and hindering their movement. If that wasnt enough, Cornusaurus's sheer presence alone terrifies smaller creatures away from it! However, Cornusaurus lives up to its Wendigo-like attributes whenever it eats a fresh kill. When it does, a strange, Purple liquid called Malignent begins to flow through its veins. Malignent is a form of element liquid, and this causes the cornusaurus to fly into a fury after eating a corpse. When in this "Bloodlust" state, they become much more powerful and durable, becoming a drastic threat. However, if it is unable to keep up its bloodshed, it will enter an exhausted state: becoming weaker and vulnerable for a time. Tamed, Cornusaurus proves to be a fearsome berserker, flying into a fury and rewarding its owner for senseless violence and bloodshed.
-Immune to bleeding and radiation
-Has an X-variant that inhabits the Tundra on Genesis!
-Cornusaurus casts a "Terrify AoE" to everything around it- allies and foes alike. If the target is under 150 drag weight or less (and not a creature), it becomes inflicted with "terrified". Terrified causes unmounted creatures to break into a panic, fleeing from their target uncontrollably, while dealing 30% less damage and taking 30% more. This also effects Allies, making it a double-edged sword.
-Can be told to sit via radial wheel and heal. Will heal up to 50% of health and then by set amounts per second. Like Megatherium
-Element weighs very little in its inventory, and Malignent gets a high spoiling multiplier.
-Left click bite. Deals great damage and shreds armor, causes bleeding. When used to harvest a corpse, Cornusaurus will enter Bloodlust. In Bloodlust, Cornusaurus gains rapid amounts of stam and health back per second and rapidly drains torpor (IT IS NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE TO TRANQ A CORNU IN BLOODLUST). It will also gain +60% melee damage, but no resistance. If you cannot keep the buff going through eating multiple corpses, the buff will wear off and replace with Exhaustion. When Exhausted, Cornu deals 25% less damage and takes 15% more incoming damage. It will also loose stamina over time and gain high amounts of torpidity per second. Eating any corpse will instantly trigger Bloodlust and cancel Exhaustion. When in Bloodlust, Cornusaurus will generate "Malignent". This item is identical to Element Shards, and lasts a long time inside of a cornusaurus. However, as soon as they are removed, they will instantly spoil into Element Dust (think of it as a side reward for keeping Bloodlust as long as possible!)
-Right click headbutt. does knockback and inflicts bleed.
-C key Frenzied Charge. Cornusaurus will lower its head and charge a set distance before finishing with an upwards head swing. This attack has high knockback, inflicts bleed, and hits multiple times. Has a cooldown and high stamina cost, cannot be used with insufficient stam.
-X key tailswing. Swings tail behind itself to hit rear targets. Deals knockback damage and has a cooldown.
-Left control Roar, for aesthetic.
-Q key Blinding Roar. Will cast an AoE around itself that will inflict Tuso Ink onto enemy targets. Has a cooldown and high stamina cost.
