Realistic Population 2 2.2.4
Need better Tutorial and feature
Could you increase double the house hold please? Or add an option too double or triple the house hold and Commercial and Office building too. I think my current High-Density house hold is too low. Expecially with Singapore Building which have a lot of floor and room inside which can contain more than just 30 house hold (I think avage building has 20 floor. Each floor contain 3 house hold (apartment). It could have 60 house hold instead of just 37.
One of my Vanilla building has 37 house hold contain about 100 Citizen with 35 being used (the other building has 36 house hold contain only 45 Citizen with 30 being used). And my Vanilla Office.... it's way shorter than those 2 building, like as tall as a rate of 1/10 (Office/High Density house) But it required 75!!! worker. If you want the building name than comment below show I can search it for you to change.

The density can be increased with the configuration files. I know it's not ideal, but better documentation is (slowly) being developed, and an in-game UI is in development to make this easier.

In the meantime, can you please provide the details of the building (and any others) and I can take a look?

The short Building has too much worker place.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2053050731 (check the point)
While the tallest one has half of the worker need.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2053051520 (check the blue building)
And also, why does my Residental zone don't use all the household? They only use 9/10 of the household. Like I have a High Density zone building which has 32 household but they only use 30 :(

@nhatanh0475 - This question has asked 1,001 times on many different areas. The thought behind it is Birthrates. You need to have room in your city as Cims grow-up and move out of their original home and then give birth to other Cims.

If there is only one or two asset that you would like to change without touching all the building category, the best way is to use the override method in XML,

you can check first in your WG_RealisticCity.xml if there is some vanilla building who got already an overwrite setting for ex under House hold data :

<meshName value="37">H5 4x4 Highrise07</meshName>

Which mean the vanilla 4x4 highrise07 (mesh name) always got 37 household
You can get the mesh name with RICO local setting :

1)ADD to local in RICO settings in game the asset you want to change, without touching anything else, make sure to SAVE LOCAL FILE
2) Open RICO local XML (named LocalRICOSettings.xml) from your game's installation folder
3) Open this mod's XML (named WG_RealisticCity.xml) from appdata/local/colossal order/cities_skylines
4) MeshName in mod's XML = RICO Building name

Here's an example for the custom Office asset Pan Pacific Insurance:

RICO Local setting looks like this:
<Building name="628101617.Pan Pacific Insurance_Data" service="office" density="0" sub-service="none" construction-cost="60000" ui-category="office" homes="25" steam-id="" level="3" workplaces="0,0,10,15" />

Make a line that looks like this in this mod's XML under <overrideWorker printWorkNames etc
<meshName value="1000">628101617.Pan Pacific Insurance_Data</meshName>
I set this building for 1000 worker.

Hope this helps while the author will add a UI in game in the futur ^^

Tried, but every office and most of commercial abandoned. Office buildings ask from 300-1000 workers. Idk is that much cuz only 40-50 workers working in those buildings. Demand for workers is high so buildings end abandoned. My pop count is 60,000 and 90% of them are educated.
Yangxuzhu Apr 15, 2020 @ 11:07am
@senicro it's possible even with high demand of worker, the office building you use offers a job that does not suit the taste of your cims ^^ like different education lvl job, it 's true is pretty hard to balance this stuff, if your population are mostly high educated, i can recommand you to use Employ Overeducated Workers mod https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1674732053 but there is many possibility, you should also check your city policy.

How I calculate the number of households in a HDB flat is by manually visualizing one block and count the number of home units there are in a single floor and then times the number of floors to get the exact number of households.
I feel this is much easier and quicker rather than sourcing for codings here since you can directly adjust the number of households with this mod and save it permanently for your current and future cities.
