Whats the meta?
I cant figure out which heroes are essential for a win. Zeus seems a no brainer. I always go tower heavy, am i supposed to put mjolnirs on every tower for lightning procs? I thought about giving aghs tome to pudge for rot/slow for the entire creep run if thats how it works. Omni buff seem strong but its only good for strength heroes like ck\sven. What are viable hero comboes the furthest i got was 45 or 51.

I got to round 111, the best early to mid game unit is wind runner upgraded, she feels like a laser cannon, though I typically build her along side a drow ranger for more attack speed, next you want to get an up'd zeus, into witch doctor and 4 crystal maidens to give them tons of mana, zeus is the only percent damage so you need him late game. after that you want stuns that pierce spell immunity because once they get 100% magic resist they become immune to witch doctor stun P.S. centaur warrunner and void are the two towers that can and there is probably a critical mass of shadow fiends that outscale the percent health increase of the magic immune dudes. P.P.S. note that there is no real strength heroes in the build, use morphlings to switch stuff to agility and books to switch to intelligence P.P.P.S. (sorry I keep remembering things) level 4 morphling can permanantly stun anything

Check out this screenshot of lvl 150 to get understanding of meta and tower positioning.
At this point of a game server slows so much, that this round will take forever.
I prefer to start with sf naga drow sven in a middle square, some magic like bane and mirana, than place magnus orge aside.

I thought I might as well give a little map. here with an idealized stategy that barely lets enemies out the gate at round 186. though the server died round 189 ish, while I was making this. patch april 9th if this ever goes out of date. XD

I know, it isn't great but here is the legend.
underscore is an open space that a unit can be.
X - Spawner and end zone.
P - the path where enemies travel.
Units:
C - Centaur Warruner:(Upgraded) it is the only unit that can stun Magic immune Necrophos
Cr - Crystal maiden:(Upgraded) Mana regen for the casters.
D - Drow Ranger:(Upgraded) more damage and more attack speed with global range. unupgraded in the center is really useful early, also works well with wind ranger.
L - Lich:(Can't be upgraded) AOE slow is very useful, especially for the faster units.
M- Medusa:(Not upgraded) still procs on hit effects, get armor reduction, slows, and lightning with a mask.
Ma - Magnus:(Upgraded) gives ranged units splash which is necessary. bonus damage is nice.
N - Naga Siren:(Not upgraded) Not necessary, but useful aoe early, replaceable with pudge in my experience.
O - Omniknight:(Upgraded) 50% magic resistance for boss stuns, though barely matters.
Og - Ogre Magi:(Can't be upgraded) tons of attackspeed.
S - Sven:(Upgraded) huge percent damage increase, scales with more drows, doesn't stack with itself.
Sf - Shadowfiend:(Upgraded) scaling damage with an armor reduction armor -100% physical resistance armor units at round 180ish
V - Faceless Void:(Not upgraded) stun lock through magic immunity. can catch some of the faster units as well because of no projectile speed.
W - Witch Doctor:(Can't be upgraded) stun lock multiple units.
Wr - Wind Ranger:(Upgraded) Insane power spikes, first when you get items then with upgrade, grab a mjollnir and mask of madness to solve early armor issues and aoe. when upgraded get crits and a couple more masks of madness.
Z - Zeus:(Upgraded) Only percent damage, one is necessary to get through the mid game.

Imo he is the best unit for increasing damage if you change your right clickers' attribute to str. Similar to drow, it increases base damage too so more dmg from magnus.

problem with that, omniknight buffs only happens once, 3 drows rangers give more damage. now if omniknights buff was an aura, you might use him more.
