Venator
the Venator Class Star Destroyer is too weak for what it is supposed to be and frankly should also have the laser special ability

Well that is wrong in both points.
The Venator already has better stats than it should have lore-wise and the beam cannon was a one time thing and is on Yularen's flagship in later eras.

The Venator is primarily a carrier. It can serve as a good ship especially as a second line fire support ship.
Your main combat ship is the Victory-class.

Sorry @Cooler12351 that you have to answer this question so many times already.

to anyone wondering the venator stats and pop gets scaled the same as everyone else, its just people think it should be better since they like it.

the laser thing is just a one off modification that one specific venator had, its a ground artillery gun its nothing special but some people think it should be some big deal.

But why dont give it an ability, like improve fire power? A lot of ships have this, and it would also be pretty accurate lore - wise

I don't see how that would be accurate lore-wise

I refer to the capability of the Venator class to use almost all its energy for the heavy turbolasers when needed. An ability reflecting this ingame would improve the capability of the player to use the Venator class more according to the situation. While the Victory is clearly better armed, it would allow for a more diverse role of the venator.
(Or just decrease the reload of the heavy Turbolasers by 20% or what).

I refer to official canon / legends.
I even got a book at home that talks about the energy and weapon settings on ships etc., and i remember there was something mentioned about this topic too.
Whatever, here is an official source:

"The DBY-827 had seven different power settings. This allowed the Venator's pilots and gunners to select a range of destruction, from a small strike to a vaporizing blow. [As a true warship], the Venator-class Star Destroyer could divert almost all of its reactor output to its heavy turbolasers when needed. [As a result of this, a flotilla of Venators could break through the shields of a Trade Federation battleship with ease.[1]] "

That isn't an official source, that's just whats on the Wookieepedia page.

The canon and legends pages that talk about that stuff reference the Incredible Cross-Sections and Complete Vehicles, New Edition books. The same books that give us stupid stuff like Munificents being able to melt moons and pierce through the shields of 10km wide battlestations.

If the things in those books were accurate, the CIS would have won the war in under a week. Don't take them seriously.

Okay yes, i see.
But on the other hand, if this cant be used as a serious canon source, what is?
Okay, i understand that it isn`t about 100% perfect use of every source available.
Like, what do you use as the source for canon then?
Official star wars website?
"The Imperial Star Destroyer evolved from the smaller Venator-class Star Destroyer, a mainstay of the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. Known colloquially as Republic attack cruisers or Jedi cruisers, Venators proved exceptionally versatile warships. They were effective in ship-to-ship combat but also served ably as starfighter carriers and troop transports. The later Imperial-class built upon the strengths of these Republic predecessors."

Combining sources and using the most reasonable ones is usually the way to go.
The Venator currently is a good warship, but it's main job is as a carrier, which is supported by most lore stats and also generally how the ship is build.
Most of the ship is a large hangar and not areas for weapons afterall.
