Can't use gun on dead dino--might have misread mod
I have an argentavis who died to a bunch of baryonx, and miraculously her corpse is still around so I'm trying to revive her. I spawned in a superior+ stone and have it in my inventory, but when I went over and tried to revive her, the gun just says "No Target".

On the mod page, it says the Revivinator "Works whether you gave dino revival ahead of time or not", which I took to mean I could just get a stone in my inventory, shoot the corpse, and have my dino back just like that, but now I'm worried I misinterpreted the instructions. This argy has never had a stone in her inventory or had the gun used on her beforehand, because I didn't have the necessary stone until I used an admincheat.

Am I just doing something wrong, or is she gone for good?

The gun should revive the corpse, though it is meant as a fallback / last resort if you happened to not have given the dino a stone prior. Should not rely on it of course because the corpse can be eaten etc. I have tested it on corpses after server restarts even and it still works. But I have not waited very long before doing it. There might be an issue with the game rendering the corpse in wrong place. Perhaps try shooting from different angles. Make sure you aim for center mass. Perhaps try shooting from within the body. If its possible to move the corpse at all, try that.
(careful not to have any carnivores near the corpse or they may eat it)

She is sort of stuck in an awkward position. Upside down, wings out (she died in flight I think), head underwater, rest of the body in the air. I'm playing on the Ragnarok map, and I've seen a couple times before where dinos who died falling off cliffs sort of "freeze" in place midair. Those corpses can still be interacted with and harvested, though.

I don't plan to rely on the gun, I was just desperate to get this argy back, so I figured I might as well cheat in a stone and give it a try. I'll keep shooting and see if it eventually works.
