Prison Labor
Question on Prisoner Workshops

I have the workshop in a labor zone, the prisoners are capable of working, I have set the door so that prisoners can get in, and I have a bill added to the machining tables (and they have the skill required to work it)

Any idea why this doesn't work?

Are you using also lock mod?
Yes, they can enter and exit without issue and often just stand in the workshop doing nothing

right I noticed this, the issue I believe is that the prisoner is not being "watched" or haven't been seen to be watched so don't initiate work because of derpy path finding, my workaround was set the doors to force open from where they sleep to the prisoner workshop (that way regardless of locks they can access the workshop, toggle work recruit and forced work a few times) and they should start work when a warden comes by.

Also if they are injured and you've set bedrest to 1 they won't work regardless.

I should clarify, if they are injured and bedrest is 1 they wont work till healed.

Also I have no prisoner labour zone set up so they just work wherever they can access. Try removing that and see if they start working in the above free to access work area. I find the prison labour area stops your pawns from attempting work in that area and so only wardens go there, but if a pawn is working around them it acts as a "warden"

Prison area exclude jobs in that zone from normal colonist job searching. Rest till fully heal can be also disabled in mod menu. @prophet//PMC// can you post screens with prisoners health tabs?
I can't post it right now but I can assure you it's spotless, not even a scar

And their needs tab? Does they have enough motivation or dont starve?
They're certainly not starving, but I'll check again
maybe you run mods messing with job priorities or such
is only one type of workshop affected
have you enabled the work type in the settings if its modded
is the worktype possible for your prisoners (options PL)
I just checked, motivation for all prisoners is completely full and I neglected to mention something.

Off screen, there is another cell connected to an indoor farm for drug production, and the prisoner there plants/cuts them just fine, but absolutely will not craft them (same thing as the workshop)

Worktype is possible for all my prisoners.

Quite busy right now honestly so I'll do a test to see if it's an incomp mod later
Craft priority is 1, the ingredient radius is in the room where the stockpile for the leaves/weapon materials are, they are not injured, I don't understand

FYI, the doors between cells are locked. So the prisoners in the "sweatshop" cell cannot enter the luxurious cell, and vice versa

The farmer has low crafting skills but there's no crafting requirement for flake/yayo production

I got a new batch of prisoners and all of a sudden it looks like the farmers are actually crafting now and I have 0 idea what's new here
So, I edited one of the characters and removed the inability to do intellectual work for the original farmer and he started working.. I plan to do troubleshooting with the workshop guys

On first screen what do you want to craft? Creating items from bills require skill as normal pawn.
