Compatible Mods
I was poking through the files (I was confused by what the temporal anomaly thing did, and was worried it meant I missed events), and I found reference to 'submod' strings referencing a bunch of mods that don't work. Understandable, given the overhaul the game's been given!

That said, I'm curious if there are any good mods which ARE compatible, or even recommended. I know some of the ones I've been enjoying in the vanilla game aren't compatible, like Planetary Diversity, but I wouldn't mind some extra additions to my ST:NC experience.

(I've been much preferring it to NH, honestly; I appreciate the lack of railroading and more flexible systems!)

Thanks for the feedback! Really happy to see people enjoying the mod - as you may be able to tell it's a lot closer to my original vision of how a Trek mod would work. :)

In terms of compatible mods, almost all music mods should be supported. New adviser voices too.

Some UI mods will be fine, but others may cause issues. If you find one you like and it doesn't work too well, let me know and I might be able to tweak some things. I did something for:
"UI Overhaul 1080p Plus"
Which ensures that it never overwrites STNC files - means a few of its features don't quite work, but they also don't break.

So yeah, I don't really have much time myself to test, but if others do please post!

I was thinking more of gameplay mods; I quite enjoy some of the expansions that gives to the exploration game (Gulli's Planet Modifiers and Planetary Diversity come to mind), and it'd suit a large galaxy full of scientific exploration. But since I know it's difficult to maintain a big conversion mod as is, it doesn't bother me too much; I was mostly wondering if there was any known working gameplay modifying mods. Not a huge issue; mostly it'd be fun to have additional events.

(...maybe I'll see if I can't write one or two?)

That said, if you're talking about UI mods, I might try the UI Overhaul Dynamic later; it's probably my main go-to for a UI mod at this point; it's a very similar mod, but one that supports vastly more resolutions by default. If anyone's tried it already, give me a holler!

Appreciating the Symbiosis Commission, by the way. I have another question/request, but I'll give that its own thread. Thanks for your answer!

The only UI mods that I'm pretty certain works besides the UI overhaul is Tiny Outliner and Tiny Fleets, I cant play whitout them, the size of the outliner without that mod is a constant source of annoyance to me, so a integration of that mod.

I do have a request though, can you, somehow, make the Borg and Dominoin more powerfull, maybe even as a choice you can select at the start of the game so players can have the choice, because to me the dominoin should be a kinda mid game crisis for the federation and the borg should be a end game crisis together with the Undine, somehow, have not thought through how that would work but I guess the Undine crisis is triggered by the Borg and if they are its kinda essential that they survive past the first 50 years. So far, they have not in any of my games unless I build up their empire for them from time to time to ensure that they have a stable economy and Fleet power

Noldat - not entirely sure if possible. STNC makes a bunch of changes to the UI that might overlap with it.

Probably, yes. There don't seem to be any issues from what I've been told, and I know Cutter Slade did a great job making them broadly compatible.

It won't be, no. They're good mods but 24 designed them to work with the vanilla experience.
