Description
Squaddie
Obtenebration
The power to control the shadows of the abyss. Retain concealment when team concealment is broken. Harder to detect, but sight range is reduced.
Corpral
Shadow Thorn
Consume HP to cause abyssal shadows to strike an enemy without approaching them or breaking concealment. Inflicts blind and blood curse.
Sergeant
Shade Scratch
Consume HP to slash and curse a foe and then retreat. Can only be used on foes that cannot see you. On a killing blow, regain concealment.
Lieutenant
Cloak Of Shadows
Consume HP to renter concealment by warping nearby shadows.
Captain
Shadowstep
This soldier does not trigger overwatch or reaction fire.
Major
Drop By Drop
Reduces all HP costs, but cannot reduce the cost to less than one.
Colonel
Ahriman's Demense
Shadow Thorn blankets the nearby area with abyssal cloud, applying it's effects to multiple foes.
Brigadier
Through The Abyss
Consume HP to travel through the abyss, teleporting anywhere within squadsight. Must be concealed.

Consume half HP to fire a powerful and accurate shot that applies blood curse if it hits. Effectiveness increases with greater sacrifice. Does not benefit from special ammo.
Sergeant
Hungering Shot
Fire a shot that drains health from foes. Does not benefit from special ammo.
Lieutenant
Soul Devour
Killing blows with Hungering Shot grant concealment.
Captain
Abyssal Hunger
Increase the efficency of life stealing attacks.
Major
Dark Potency
Empower blood attacks by consuming more HP. Damage bonus increases with higher cost.
Colonel
Guts And Gory
Consume HP to fire on any enemy that moves or attacks within a cone of fire. Lay a blood curse on each struck foe. Does not benefit from special ammo.
Brigadier
Fight In The Shade
Red Mist, Hungering Shot and Guts And Gory blind enemies they hit.
GTS
Bloodied Shroud
Increased HP, and wound recovery time is reduced.

Tenebrous Form
As health falls abyssal shadows shroud the body, granting a chance to negate incoming attacks.

Macabre Waltz
A dance of blood and steel. Consume HP to slash and curse multiple foes.
Major
Arms Of Ahriman
The abyssal shadows from Tenebrous Form lash out at attackers, draining life based on the negated attack.
Colonel
Harvest Scythe
Employ the power of darkness to absorb multiple foe's health with a cleaving melee attack.
Brigadier
Killing Stroke
Consume all HP to deliver a single devastating blow. Damage increases with greater sacrifices.

This is a lovely list and all... but... What IS Blood Curse?

Psi damage DoT, slight reduction to psi and will, can be applied by multiple attackers to the same target.

I was orginally using bleeding, but that doesn't work against a lot of enemies.

Killing Stroke says that it will consume all HP. Will it A: Leave the Nightblade with 1 HP, B: Drop the Nightblade onto the bleedout timer, or C: Result in the death of the Nightblade. I don't think ANY ability is worth sacrificing a Brigadier soldier to use.

1 HP. I have a check built into hp costs so they shouldn't be able to kill you.
just don't use it on anything that explodes.

Blood curse is funny when applied to mechanical units though.
