That could be an idea for a sub-mod actually - how about changing these awful square UI + round/square buttons to something similar to CK3 announced UI? UI that doesnt take 3/4 of player screen? Aka minimalistic AI. I would love something like this.

I plan to make a new style, yes. I might start on it this month.

I also like the UI style of CK3 as we have seen so far. Have you considered using different colors than (basically only) white background and black font? I think the CK3 UI looks way more balanced and intriguing than Imperator's. I know, though, that this would require a massive amount of work, which is kinda unfortunate.

I certainly want dark background. Mainly because then I can make the colored fonts brighter and more readable. Right now they have to have a middle value to be visible both on black and white.

Here's my experiment with the topbar. I don't think I'll do the buttons this way, though:

Wow! That's really awesome! Can't wait to play with it! These trapeze-kind buttoms are interesting and looking way better than vanilla ones. Is this topbar playable right now or does it need tweaking? I see that there are no buttons to control speed, so I guess it's not ready yet, but as soon as it's playable, maybe even not fleshed out, please share it with us! :)

Would it make sense to swap the location of "Toggle outliner" and "Outliner configuration" buttons? I think it would be more intuitive and more consistent with the "Minimize the event queue" button.

I thought about it, but I'd either have to keep the edge of the outliner or the toggle button always visible so you could, you know, expand it again.
I could just add another button on the outliner to hide it. So it's a bit easier to click.

Do you have any future plans for the Show Families window? For example, adding some frame to the portraits of characters that hold a position to identify them more quickly. It could be black or, even better, blue/red/green/yellow depending on the position.
I love the mod btw. Thanks a lot!

oh, that's a good suggestion, I haven't thought about it
and thank you

Your UI mod is amazing. Are you able to change the way characters are displayed in the "Technology" window to how they are shown in the "Government" window? Here's what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/ctg8BF3. In fact, it would be nicer if the character name and position/title bar were transposed as well. Thank you.

And one more suggestion. The tooltips for missions are hard to parse because of word wrapping. See https://imgur.com/a/102nCJ6. Could they be widened a bit? Or better yet, auto resized so that each condition takes up a single line?

I second this suggestion!

yes, this is planned. I just didn't have time to update it last time.
What do you mean by "transposed"?

As for the tooltip, it's used across the whole interface, and I really don't like when it gets super wide. Maybe I can make it a setting, I'll check.

By transposed I mean putting the character's name below the position/job title. Something like this:

Regarding the tooltip, if the same width is used everywhere then I agree that it shouldn't be changed. Thanks for trying!
