Alright, so Second American Civil War...

Is it going to be two neatly defined rivals with clear borders or is it going to be one big battle royale of multiple factions of Ideologues, Oppertunists, Military Cliques, etc?

states would most likely hold their territories and boarders, and a safe passage would be given to both sides to politics. but the real fighting probably wouldnt take place for another month or two, when things actually start crumbling OR some dumb ass conservative cousin ♥♥♥♥♥♥ blows the head off of a 16 year old kid.

East and West due to the political stance of the country. CURRENTLY WA, OR, CA, NV. are Blue CO, NM are blue. MN, WI, IA, IL, MI are blue. then the east coast. ME, MA, RI, CT, NJ, DE, MD, DC, VT, NH, NY, PA, VA and FL are currently Blue.
So. because of a civil war is a civil war. the National Guard would be split by the states they reside in. vs the side they wish to be in. of course, like during the first civil war, troops where given the ability to not participate in killing their brothers. and where dismissed.

The military itself would be mostly on the side of the President or Congress. thats also a split. So lets say Trump is Impeached. it passes the Senate, the House, then confirmed trial and passed by the Supreme court. Trump would officially no longer be a standing president, but would still hold a seat. he would no longer have the power to control anything.
So, the US Military would be on the Next in line. And as the VP is also being Impeached due to being apart of the current collusion with a foreign power to undermine the US constitution and influence the freedoms of democracy.

The next in like would be the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi. a Democrat. meaning. if there is a civil war. itll be the republic states who are the opposition to the United States of America.

so theirs a month of peace and then everything hits the fan and everyone starts murdering each other thats a great idea that youve said and i think that would be a great idea where some stupid person does something and everyone starts mudering each other

This all occurs after the election with partisan factions choosing to secede from thier respective states.
