IMPORTANT : 1.2 compatability
I've seen some extra comments asking on how to get this mod to work with 1.2 and I am hoping that having this post thing here will draw attention to the fix out of convenience.

The following pastebin is a fix designed by bRektFest for getting the mod to work in the first place, and Lutris for fixing the coloration:

Copy-paste that in the .xml file named Race_Avali.xml
The following is the exact path for that specific file:
steamapps\workshop\content\294100\1732147907\1.1\Defs\ThingDefs_Races

This is a community fix, not done by Ksisa or Erris. This fix MUST be applied, otherwise the game will fail to generate the world map.

thanks, I was spending hours trying to find where something was going on just to find it wasn't conflicting with something else and was just beefing with the update. you saved me from breaking something

Any idea how to fix the issue of not being able to right-click on clothes to force-equip them?

That's Not Just Avali, and it is Unlikely that Avali are Causing it

yes that pastebin replaces everything in Race_Avali.xml

i replaced it, and it fixed the settlement spawning bug but im still unable to force my colonists to equip clothes

I similarly cannot force my avali to wear clothes and I sort of need to to get them to wear the life support belts. I think it is caused by this mod. Any fix?

So the Achtung mod doesn't allow you to force equip avali armor. This is most likely because of Alien Races mod or Achtung.
