How do I switch between competitive and coop modes?

as per title, for example when I select conquest with multiple players, I only see the option to launch in competitive mode, unless I'm missing something obvious. Since the scenario can be played cooperatively, and it is indicated as such in the description

You need to add a dummy to the roster. Cooperative play still uses a dummy to keep all the players from slowing down and gaming the system. Competitive games doesn’t use the dummy though. Guess I could make it clearer. I think i did have it mentioned on the first page but it goes pretty quick.
