Caballus - FAQ

1. Is the map finished and playable?
The Map is fully playable, but not finished yet. Most of the surface is done. There are two bigger dungeons. You can find all main resources on the Map. Some of the DLC – Resources, too. Please take a look at the ARK Wiki Caballus – Resource Map.

2. Are there all dinos on the map?
Caballus has a lof of Dinos, but not all. There are all The Island Dinos, all Scorched Earth Dinos and some Dinos from the DLC. Please take a look at the ARK Wiki Caballus – Creature Spawns. Or look at the Wiki there is a list with all available dinos.

3. Is it possible to travel, are there ARK Terminals?
Yes it is possible and there are the normal ARK Terminals on the Map. I just removed the cosmetic assets (like the towers), but you can find the terminals near the big horse monuments (green, blue, red)

4. Are all artifacts available?
The map contains all the artifacts from The Island to fight the bosses from the Island.

5. Is it possible to fight bosses?
Yes it is possible to fight against the bosses from The Island: Spider, Megapithecus, Dragon.

6. Is there a Wyvern Trench? Is there a Magamsaur Cave?
You can find Wyvern in a big trench in the Vulcano Biome. There is also a Wyvern Cave in the Snow Biome. Since the last update you can find a Magmasaur Cave in the Vulcano Biome.

7. Is there a Aberration Part/Biome on the map?
The Aberration part is not done yet, but it will come 100%
8. I can not find resource x, resource y, resource z...
There is a whole Wiki Page just for Caballus. There you can find all important informations. For example a resource Map, a explorer Map and the Dino Spawns.

9. I want to change the Spawn Container of Caballus.
Caballus has some Custom Spawn Container. You can find these one and the normal Spawn Container from ARK in a list at the ARK Wiki of Caballus.

10. There are some treasure I cant open. The Treasures are the loot system of Caballus. There are different chests, with a ray or a beam of the following colors: green, blue, yellow, red. In every bigger area you can just find one treasure at one time. When the chest does not have the beam it is just the cosmetic asset – but you find a spot where a treasure CAN spawn. So look at cheast with a beam. Above all the treasures are very easy to find in the night!

11. Are the DLC from WildCard really nesessary to play Caballus?

The DLCs are not 100% nesessary, but you need them to see all the parts of Caballus. Sometimes there are missing Assets, but above all just some textures are missing. 95% is fully normal without the DLC. No DLC dinos are missing! A lot of the DLC content is included in the Base Game of ARK.

12. Which dinos are special Caballus Variants?
Equus – a lot of more color variants.
Ice Wyvern – a lot of more color variants
Griffin – a lot of more color variants and you can breed them.
Maybe there will come more :stuck_out_tongue:

13. Are there Explorer Notes on the Map?
Not yet, but it is my plan to add my own Explorer Notes fort he history of Caballus. Nevertheless I want to add the Explorer Notes – Dinos.

14. What is the pre settings of dino high level?
It is like on Ragnarok, highest possible level is 150.
15. Are all engrams available?
Yes all engrams can be learned on the map.

16. Problems Installing the Map
First of all unsubscribe from this mod on the workshop.
After this delete the map files where they were installed into - default path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ARK\ShooterGame\Content\Mods\
Delete the 1679826889.mod file and the folder with the same number.
If that's done resubscribe the map again and wait until it's download/installation is finished.

17. I random be killed or teleported
It is No bug from the map. It is the antimesh system of Wildcard. You need to turn off the antimesh System completly! For example at Server host Gportal turn on the noundermeshchecking setting!
The no killing setting is Not enough...therefore the random teleporting happens.

18. ARK Events does Not work correctly:
That is right because Wildcard decided that the Events work Not correctly on Mod Maps. You will Not find special Event Dinos, but at least items Like Pumpkins (Halloween Event). I can Not change that, so when you want to Play the Events with all Features, please Play on official Maps.
