Just in case my comment gets buried and gets mistake as a complaint.

Possibly move your countries from 00_countries.txt to a similarly titled file such as 01_countries.txt or even uim_countries.txt or other such, as well as moving other additions/changes from vanilla files to their own, to open up compatibility and to avoid other mods overriding your work with their own.
